Ex-Smokers... it's now my turn to drop this bad habit.

I need support, and good wishes... and advice.

I'm going to make an appointment Monday to get put on Chantix to help me along a little.

I have tried many times to quit... to no avail. I've tried the smoke less and less, and well... it never worked. Chewing gum does nothing for me too.

Any advice?

Good luck!!!!!!!!! Please let me know how the Chantix works for you. I tried earlier on this year & failed miserably.

One thing I will say & it may sound strange but remember to breath. You know when you take a drag you take a deep breath? Well, when you stop smoking you really don't think about taking that deep breath that can help you calm down. Breath, girly!!! I'm pulling for you!

Get yourself a hobby. I myself like to draw and do crafts. I quit a couple years ago. Just stopped without a problem. When I wanted one, I'd go make keychains. It gave me something to do and took my mind off needing one. Then i ended up with hundreds of keychains. LOL. But it helped alot.

I have actually gone and quit cold turkey! I have been smoking for about a year now, after quiting and starting and quiting and starting. It's been 3 days since my last FULL cigarette and although I thought I would murder someone for the first day and a half it's gotten better and now I don't even miss them (as I'm sitting here chomping on a carrot stick).
