I mean, you can do whatever you want... but I think it is a bit redundant to have a contest for the biggest dog lover here.

It doesn't matter how much time you put in with volunteering, how many dogs you have rescued, or how many dogs you own. It all depends on your schedule... how much time you have. Someone who has a tight schedule and only puts in 1 hour a week to volunteer can be as much of a dog lover as someone who puts in 5 hours a week. I guess I just don't get it.

95% of people here use positive reinforcement as a training method anyway.

Completely agree. You can't ever determine who the "biggest dog lover" is.

Just because someone has more time, money, and property doesn't mean they're a bigger dog lover than the college student who has one dog in an apartment. There are just way too many variables involved.

You can always do it .... the results may not be what you hope . I personally don't know many new members well enough to make a decision , so would vote for those I've know for years , and that's not fair . I'll lurk but not nominate or vote .

I agree with iwmp. give people fair warning that this is JUST for fun... things may not turn out the way THEY want. So if they do get upset... they shouldn't have participated.
