Changing foods

We have been in the process of Changing foods and we are doing it very slowly. We are like in week 3 of the change and they are eating about 75 percent of the new to 25 percent of the old. We are going from Wellness to Canidae. What I have noticed is that both dogs after eating 2-3 hours later they seem to have wet burps. Meaning they burp and sometimes they spit up some food and clear liquid. Is this a sign the food is to rich for them and we should find something else? I never had this before that is why I ask. Before Wellness we were on Royal Canin when we switched to Wellness. No burping to be had there.
I'm changing foods because the one dog has had the un explainable rash so it could be the food or it could be a yeast thing. My other dog has EPI so we need to find the right food. Canidae seems to only the one grain in it and the rest is protein. I'm open to any thoughts one might share

It could as easily be the mix of foods as much as the change of foods.

Thanks for the input. Seems they did just fine tonight. They get fed twice a day and it seemed to be just the eve meal they would get the wet burps. I think I will monitor the rest of the change over.

How is wellness? I've seen the food at petstores but never cared too much to try it. Everyone that I talk to they tell me that Nutro is the dog food on the shelf.

I bought a bag of royal canine but I don't really think it's that good compared to Nutro, My goal is for my dog to try every single dry food. Everything except the crappy food like Iams, purina, pedigree and etc.

I changed both of my dogs over to Canidae from Nutro Lamb & Rice over about 1 1/2 weeks of mixing the 2 foods gradually to all Canidae, and had no problems at all. Lucy was still having some of itchy skin problems I was trying to get rid of for a while after switching to Canidae... but after being on this kibble for over 2 months now she has really improved. I am still going to alternate kibbles now and then, with some other high quality kibbles that work well for dogs with allergies, just to give them some variety. I also add some fun food "topping" to each of the evening meals. I just mix plain yogurt with different things, canned mackerel, sardines, salmon or eggs. I know some people like to add pulped veggies, like broccoli, carrots etc. And I have one dog that will eat veggies, and one that would rather take a hike to Alaska before she would eat veggies... but with a little bit of research, there is really so many "human foods" we can feed to our dogs along with using regular kibble to make feeding time more fun! I'm still working on recipes for doing home cooked meals a few nights each week... but for now the kibble w/fun toppings are working well!

I do think wellness is a good food. After about 6 weeks the girls coats improved in appearance big time. They were nice and shiny. Now we had just come off of Royal Canine sensible choice chicken. One of my dogs loved the stuf and the other just seemed to tolerate it. I felt it did nothing for their health over all. Their coats were very dull and they scratched alot. After reading the ingredients there was nothing in it to help their coats. That's why the change to Wellness after speaking to a friend who liked it so much they started working for them.

So I think the food (Wellness)would be good for the right dog. After reading some things about the yeast infection some of the ingredients in the Wellness is on the NO NO list. And of course I have the one who has EPI so we will continue to find the right food for her. Canidae seem to have only one source of grain in it. That hopefully will be our ticket.

I have one dog that just loves Green Beans. But then again she will try anything and if she does not like it she will drop it and then step on it. That's a really trip to see. She did it with a Banana. What a smushy mess. Is there a site that has a list of foods of human foods that are okay. I know no Grapes and Raisins, onions and raw garlic.

Well I'm getting the feeling the girls don't care for the Canidae. They are eating it but they don't seem as Happy as they did with other foods. Its been a good 3 weeks and about a 1 1/2 weeks of being strickly on just the Canidae. I change them over slowly.

I'm considering changing again but I do not want to upset their tummys. Is it to soon to try something else? Or should I give it more time.
Been looking at the Innova dog and their EVO, and the Eagle Pak Natural.

I just want to correct myself. I would consider the Eagle Pak Holistic Chicken
