Quick question, Is it bad to change a cats food every bag or so?? Changing the brand and type and protein source and all that.

I think a lot of it depends on what the cat can handle.

Some cats may do great on that system... the different proteins will do a lot for them.

However, my cat would starve for days and days... she doesnt adjust to change well at all.

I would try it with a few samples first... see how the kitty reacts and that will be your answer.

Thanks for the reply.

Ive already tried a few ones. I had samples and was trying out a few and he eats every one without a problem. Stool and all that is fine as well.

I would never usually do this but I work at a pet food store now and when the food expires we have to throw it out. Even though its still good for up to 3 months after the day on the bag none of the shelters will take it. Most of the food is really good stuff too. Since this is what we have to do the owner asks me if I want the food for my cat. So if its no harm to him to keep switching his food then Im all for saving money.
