New sighting after 2 weeks !! Vivi was walking on 3 legs... they think the heat of the pavement may have taken it's toll ... though she's been known to limp if over exerted. Will this gal ever be caught !!

They say any quick movement will make her scoot away and be even more illusive .

What the heck is keeping her alive? That tiny wee body has to eat often...how? OMG, I so wish she was safe and sound.

I wonder why a tranquilizer gun can't be used.
Yeah or they could set out a humane trap...that is how the rescue I volunteer for caught two very shy and elusive beagles when they managed to get loose once..they were loose for a week and then somebody had the idea to set out a trap...caught them in a day!

I can't believe Vivi is still going! I would be a wreck if I were her owners- all these sightings and not one person able to catch her. It's been what, nearly 5 months? I used to think this kind of thing only happened in movies (Homeward Bound, anyone?) but apparently this is one dog who really *does* prove she's smarter than people.

I hope they get her soon!

I read the ccounts every other day or so. They said she should have come into heat the end of June and was sighted with a pack of dogs .....soooooooooooooo , maybe puppies would slow her down ,

If it is a hoax its a pretty elaborate, long running and sick one - involving numerous parties and volunteers and playing on emotions :(

Is this the link?

I can imagine how difficult it must be to capture one of these type of dogs... they are sensitive, can 'spook' easily and are fast and agile... the guy who caught (wild) Zelda to take her to the shelter was extremely patient, leaving food on his land for her for numerous weeks until eventually she'd appear regularly for her dinner, and started to sleep on his deck. He lived in open country but had his own dogs, maybe that drew her there . . . She was eventually brought in using some tranquiliser drug in the food.

This poor lost dog has been wild/away from her regular human contact for six months now :(

Sometimes things you think/hope should happen in a "reasonable" time period just drag on and on . . .
