I need a new cell phone, I've got an old flip phone, that is just to big, and too bulky... So, I'm looking for a new one to ask for for x-mas...

Any ideas? Whatever I get, will just be a pay as you go phone, so it's just a matter of picking one, and having it switched to Virgin Moblie.

So, who's got a good phone, what do you like about it? What kind is it?

Thanks.

I have a Nokia 6102i. It has everything I need. It's a clamshell phone and durable (I've dropped it alot). My nephew and my brother both have this phone. My nephew ran over his with his car. The screen is cracked, but it still works.

i LOVE my Razr (its one of the earlier models), ive dropped it a good few times and it seems to be realy durable, no scratches (its a metal casing) and its very slimline...
its got all the features i like in a phone, very easy to use and ive had no service issues with it...
and its pretty...lol

I have a pink Razr V3 and for the most part I'm content with it. It does what I need it to do (though I wish it had a better vibe or quieter ring, because I can't feel the vibe and the lowest ring setting is still deafening) and I've dropped it a few times without really hurting it, BUT it died after getting a few drops of water on it. About a week later it was totally dry and ok again, and hasn't given me trouble since. But I was a little surprised at how sensitive it was to water damage.

I don't think I'd get another Razr like mine, but I'd definitely get another Motorola eventually.

I have a RAZR, and I've lost track of how many times I've dropped it. There's only a few scratches on the back, but the phone still works fine. I've even dropped it in a puddle once. Within about a day it was dry and worked again :)

i love my samsung M500...its a flip phone, really thin and cute. Mine is red...but here is a pic, so you can see how thin it is.

As far as the RAZR, i feel like you either get lucky, or you dont. I have heard so many disaster stories about them. My friend's screen totally died on it, and some other crap happened with it. She got a brand new one less than 2 months ago, and the battery will start dying less than an hour of taking it outta the charger (after its been charging all night), and without using it at all.

I have a Samsung U520
I ABSOLUTLY love mine. It has an MP3 player built in, great camera and video recorder, and sooo many cool settings. For example, you know when you dial a number, on the screen the numbers are just plain and boring? well on my phone they show up as sticky notes on a bulletin board! isnt that cool? I could also have a feather pen write them on a scroll of paper if I wanted to.
I even put it through the washing machine about a week- week and a half ago. Only problem it has now is that the battery does stay charged as long as it used to, but thats okay, becuase 90% of the time, I have access to a charger.

if you go razr the v3s are the best, the v8's tend to have the issues with the pixels dying...(strange because the 8's are newer...)

my razr i charge on mondays, it lasts all week with regular use without needing to charge, and ive found chargin when batery is just ready to die gives you better batery life, but thats true with any rechargables...better to let them completly empty before rechargin...

the v3's arnt as expensive now as they once were but still kinda up there in price.

oh man, seriously? The razer??

obvs get whatev you want...I just hate that thing, haha. When it first came out, before I saw it in person, I was swooning over it like everyone else...then I saw one "in real life" and was like EWW!! I dont know what it is about it...to me it i so ugly!! It is SO WIDE!

I dunno, I love my m500, it is smaller than the razr (its maybe like 3mm thicker...barely a diff). There are a few things I dont like about it, that I would be willing to go into if anyone is interested in hearing about. They are all very miniscule.

Have you ever talked on a razr? If not, please do...I dont know if its the shape of my head, or what, but I can NOT get that thing to fit right to my face for the life of me, making it incredibly difficult to hear the person on the other end. Almost all my friends have razrs, so I deal with them quite a bit. I know I am in the minority for disliking them right off the bat, but almost everyone I know with one has huge issues with it.

I have a razr and I really like it.. it's been dropped plenty of times and it's still fine. I'm not sure how long it goes without charging, because I'm usually on it enough in the evenings to run the battery low, and it needs to be charged again..

Dreeza, just realized you posted a pic........ I like the looks of it... BUt for some reason, I really like the Razrs.... Plus, Im not sure if that can be used for Virgin Moblie....

Does anyone know If you buy one (for example) in USA, can you have it switched over to Canada?
