I was wondering you guys could help me brainstorm some causes of itchyness.
I know there are some obvious ones like flee's but what are some that people might not think of.

The boys sometimes get very itchy spots. Buster had a couple of weeks where he both his flanks just itched, atm Harry is having a time with the base of his tail, he can't scratch it but constantly turns around and tries to lick it, and when you scratch it for him he almost collapses in bliss.

So what are some plants that it could be? Anything in their diet likly to trigger it eventhough their diet stays relativly the same through all these itchy periods? Maybe a skin condition? What else?

It's not flee's, was thinking maybe their dirty and uncomfortable but I bathed Buster very carefull last time his sides were really itchy and no change. It just sort of went away after a few weeks.

Thought a thread like this might be a handy reference points for some ideas on Itchyness.

could possibly be mites....

Beezer had the same issue recently and I thought it was allergies. Gave him allergy pills and nothing changed. Vet said it was mites and he had itchies on his ears, base of his tail, and his hips and a bit of his tummy

Most likely a food allergy, I had a dog that got onto the catfood which has seafood in it,and he became very itchy.
