Not sure if these pics will work. Apologize in advance if they don't.
Both dogs came from the pound.

I'm not sure about the first one. Retriever is definitely in there. I'll go with labrador x something.

The second one could be a border collie, but honestly my first thought when I saw it's face was sheltie. Maybe Sheltie x Aussie?

second is a border collie. maybe even pure, or a sheltie cross.

first one, maybe a flat coated retriever/spaniel? a brittney?

Duck Tolling Retriever! That's what we thought when we saw the breed on a dog show. But then you have those white marking on his front. ;=)
Charlie (pic #2 thanks to Babyblue5290) was "supposed" to be a fully grown dog when we picked him up last February. He was a pup for sure, and still is.
His legs have really stretched out and the puppy fuzz is gone. Plus his nose grew a lot. It's not a straight shot from his head to the tip of the nose, however. Don't true Collies have that? I wish everyone dogs with the temperments (sp?) that these 2 guys have - regardless of breed.

I don't see much (if any) Toller in there at all. Lots of mixes do greatly resemble Tollers, but very rarely have any in them. He's a beautiful dog though. My guess would be maybe Golden or Lab with Aussie. Not really sure though.

The other one I'd guess to be possibly Border Collie/Sheltie.

All that, and they are both absolutely stunning as well? Sign me up for one;) .

I'm pretty bad at breed guesses, but Sheltie/Aussie was my first thought for the second dog as well.

I just wanted to say it's great you adopted them. I am crap at guessing breeds so I am not even going to try. Almost everything looks like a border collie cross to me. haha :)

Charlie has a small cage/kennel in the garage. A friend came over with his 2 young daughters. We both got to talking, and he said "look at that". Both of his daughters and both of my dogs were in the cage and the door was closed and latched. No worries at all. Yep. I love my guys - even when Charlie ate our couch. ;=)

Ha! He usually keeps himself on our bed. I'm retired and my wife still works (to support me). If I have to go anywhere, I put the guys in the garage. Charlie actually likes to do the "kennel up" thing, and Sam gets the rest of the garage to himself. We thought that was a good idea after Charlie ate the end off of the ShopVac. The rest of the time, both are either in our fenced-in yard playing tag, or in the house. At bedtime, it's a 2-dog night - in our bed. Hopefully that will save a bit on heating bills this winter.

I'd have to go with a vague "Retriever cross" for the first and Sheltie/Aussie for the second. Shelties are the "mini collies" you may have heard people talk about  but with slightly different heads.
