Rocky and Jack are sisters and every three months we have to take them to get there eyes checked three hours away because they both have eye problems so we go see a specialist. Rocky had one eye removed. But they both get car sick so we have to cover the car with towels and blankets.

Any suggestion on how to make the trip easier?

Maybe you could get early appointments so they don't eat until you get back home. Having food in the stomach won't help with getting car sick.

Have you tried taking them on short car trips to get them used to the car rides?

There are some natural herbs you can give them to help them calm down.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, we always have early morning appointments. They know we travel far so they book us early. We take the food and water up that day but I’m thinking maybe we should take it up the night before.

The doc said we can't give them gravel since it does something to their pupils which are not good for the exam. But I like the suggestion of taking them for shorter car rides so they don't get so sick in the car.

Also the natural herbs sound good; maybe I will give that a try.
