Soooo.... funnily enough, Jackson was rummaging through stuff (bored, rainy day) and he pulled out a piece of paper hanging out of the little compartment on my desk. I said "give me that!" and saw it was a check.

I couldn't figure out why in the world I would have a check from this particular "leasing" company. I googled and was like ooohhhh. I had worked for a dog food company (not sure if I can say online) promoting foods in Petsmart for, like, three weekends. I hated it and immaturely left early one day, LOL, I was bad, I know. I wasn't even 19 yet. Well, they called and "let me go" so yeah, I got fired. I had kind of forgotten to be honest.

Anyways I have a check for $74 and nowhere on it does it say anything about being void after a certain time, etc. The date was in July 2009 though.

Can I deposit it? Or is that totally wrong?

Nope. Most, if not all, banks consider a check void after six months.

Nope, but I would be like "grr... it's like having money that you don't really have... or like not having money that you should have... or something..."

I was helping a friend sort through some old junk over the summer and we found some birthday cards of hers and a couple of checks she never deposited. It amounted to around $300! She was kicking herself lol.

I found a check that was 3 years old one time and I just took it to the bank and pretended I didn't know. They deposited it with out thinking twice. It was only $30.00, but hey, that's 30 dollars that I didn't have!
