The Dog Whisperer by Jan Fennell is a good one. Dog Training for Dummies has a lot of good, straightforward advice. Any of the books by Stanley Coren offer interesting studies on canine behavior.

"before and after getting your puppy" by ian dunbar. great book. :)
(ISBN 1577314557)

"the other end of the leash" by patricia mcconnell. awesome book.
(ISBN 034544678X)

if you do a search using these ISBN numbers on any websites like amazon.com, dogwise.com etc. you'll get directly to the item.

I'm familiar with the books you recommended Mordy....I still think " How to Raise A Puppy You can live with" an easier read for most people, I'm so pleased with the people who have gotten it !!

I have the third edition of "How to raise a puppy you can live with". It's very good, but I knew a lot of what the book had to offer before even reading it. Definitely recommended for people who are just starting to research about dogs and stuff.
