We are going camping and I am taking Punky with me. Granted we are going in our camper on the truck and not roughing it. I have traveled and trialed a lot with my dogs and have a good idea of what is needed. Also planning on taking 3 x pens and tent pegs to secure the x pens down. Any suggestions of 'the must have/take' with us?
Thanks

We camp a lot with our dogs and not much more than the basics of a way to contain, a place to rest, things to chew/keep busy with, food, water, and toys.

Have fun!

Vaccination records, extra collar(s), tags and leashes. Tags on collar being worn with your cell phone number, or a contact back home. I like having a tag with the number of where I'm staying, too, but when we go away, it's usually to family or friends.

I normally like to bring long lines and things to stuff Kongs as well. Also, backpack for hiking if you have one (though Punky is a little young). Lifejacket if you are planning on boating.

Me, too. I'm often staying where there is no cell service, so I'll have just one of the cheap Petco kiosk tags made up before I leave with something like "<resort name> guest" or "<campground> guest," xxx-xxx-xxxx.

Another tag option for those of us who are cheap... Write the name/number/location on a piece of index card that's cut to the right tag size. punch a hole. Cover index card+ hole with packing tape. Punch an even tinier hole where the first hole is, so that the tape protects even the inside edges of the card. Viola. I've done this for Boo when we're just hiking or doing an overnighter. Beats spending $5-$7 every time you want to go away to somewhere new.
