I'm looking to get a point and shoot again (my last one died) for when I don't feel like lugging around my Nikon D40.

I'm looking for something for just taking pictures (and videos) of the dogs. So fast shutter speed is a must. Also good for low-lighting indoors (and still have the fast shutter speed) and outdoors.

Right now I'm looking at the Canon SX120 IS... though not sure how well that fits into what I'm looking for.

Help?:confused::confused:

My little baby is my Canon PowerShot (SD780 IS)
I also have the D40 and hate lugging it around.
but this little camera takes great pictures and its small, sturdy and fast! I'm very happy with it :)

I have the black one.. but if I had to choose again I think I might go for the red

The SX120 does fairly well, but it uses AA batteries and some people really hate that. It's also relatively big compared to the camera Fransheska suggested or the newer version, SD1400.

There's also a newer version of the SX120, called SX130 that uses a rechargeable battery and is only around 20-30 dollars more expensive. I recommend the SX130 over the 120. If you want something even smaller, try the SD1400. Great cameras.
