It has been SUCH a busy week for me, I am so tired :lol-sign:
Lily's adoption was approved, so we made many many calls and decided where to meet, etc Saturday(today). My Internet has been down off and on all week because of the wind the other night, which did not make it easy because I didn't have a map.
Meanwhile, another cocker was coming in from Michigan and I was asked to help by doing a overnight/transport. So, last night after work (I was practically brain-dead I was so tired, of course) I met the nicest lady to pick up a black Cocker named Pepper. He could've been Tucker's twin, except he did not have any tan on him. I took him home, we kept them separated for a while and debated on whether or not we were going to introduce them (Tucker hasn't been getting on with males too well) and we did, and they were ok. Several phone calls later, I decided to bath and groom Pepper because he stunk and you couldn't see his eyes. Then after I was done with him it occurred to me that I should bath Lily too since she was being adopted the next day... 5 dogs in the house is too much for me!
This morning I drove an hour there (only got turned around once), to introduce the dogs, and of course meet each other. We met at the president of the rescues house, she has a lot of sweet foster babies - I don't know how she does it, without wanting to keep all of them!
We chatted and talked, and Lily left with her new adopted mom... It's such a good match! Lily really liked their beagle, too... I thought I was going to cry, I got teary I admit, but she was so excited to go with them - without even a last glance! Pepper, who was with me for less than 24hrs tried to go back with me (omg of course) but he went back into the house when encouraged to do so. He fit well into that foster home, I think/hope he'll be adopted soon I drove an hour home, accidentally taking the long way - but the scenery around the lake was nice, the car felt empty though! >.<
I'm really tired, but I don't want to take a nap because then I'll be up all night. Plus, I'm waiting on an e-mail I might be getting about another foster girl. *sigh* Maddie is curled at my feet, she looks like she's smiling. Gotta love Cockers !!
*edited to add: Penelope linky. <-- the girl I may be fostering :-D
