So I brush Regis' teeth a couple times a week, and I'm wondering what tooth paste yall suggest? I have like 3 different kinds just because I don't know what's best!

What tooth paste do you use?

It is best to buy special dog toothpaste as it doesn't foam up in the mouth and comes in flavours that dogs like.
Sometimes I just use water and a finger brush on Charlie as he doesn't like tooth brushing too much!!

I also like to make sure it's an enzymatic toothpaste... I think most of them at the petstores are.... the enzymes are supposed to keep working to break down proteins in the dogs' mouths even after you're done brushing. Don't know if it actually does, but they're all the same price, so....

When i started i did just a little, increasing the time with each time we did it. If you can afford the toothpaste all the power to you, if you cant this doesn't foam up that much. NOt like human toothpaste. Neither dog Vic or Shaffer complains of the taste, and SHaffer's gums no longer bleed when i brush which they did quite a bit at the start. Now i can hold out his gums and get the inside of his molars. He really likes the feel of his electric toothbrush, cracks me up.

I just ordered the Petzlife gel last night, as it was recommended by a ton of people on here. It's supposed to work really well.

I use a toothpaste made by Four Paws called Natural Toothpaste for dogs. I always put some toothpaste on my finger and my dog always licks it clean. So I am guessing that he likes it.
