A coworker saw it says it was very well done and produced, but since it is a dramatic romance I probably wont see it.

just make sure to see it in a good-quality theater (i saw it in a crappy one, making it REALLY difficult to understand heath ledger b/c of the poor sound quality)

It was funny, cause i was looking at it on amazon, and overall it got good reviews, but there were some people who gave it really bad reviews becauase they were expecting it to be longer:rolleyes:

It's part of the story, but not the whole story. Too many people are hung up on "it's about them gays".

I want to see it but I don't have any extra money. Tickets are almost $10 bucks a pop here...unless you go to a matinee where it's only $7.

The media started that hype.

I haven't seen the movie but I did have to go make myself a bowl of popcorn because KA mentioned buttery popcorn and I got a craving lol

I agree I hate when I hear people simplifying it as "The Gay Cowboy Movie" there is so much to it.

My mom went to see it with one of her gay guy friends and she really liked it. I have heard about the whole "gay" thing too, but that wouldn't stop me from seeing it. Some of my best friends are gay.
I made the mistake (a few times) calling it "bare back mountain," ....seriously. No pun intended, but a slip of the tongue. But I have heard really good things and will watch it when it comes out on dvd.

I saw the movie, while I did think it was a good story line I didn't think the movie was that great. Through most of the movie you can't even undestand what Heath Ledger's character is saying, because he's mumbling. I pretty bored during the movie...

I saw the movie a few weeks back, I thought it was good but I am a little biased towards cowboys, horses and Heath Ledger :D.

Fastpitchchic, I know what you mean about Heath Ledger mumbling, it got very annoying.

It has nothing to do with the quality, I went to the movie theater and it still was terrible.

The movie was great, and so much more than "the movie with the two gay guys". I hate when people make that comment because it was so much more than that. It was about love and the attraction human kind has to each other. I do not believe anyone is gay or straight. I think if your attracted to someone your attracted to them. But because of society people ignore those feelings out of fear of being an outcast. I'm not trying to offend anyone because I know alot of people have negative views of same sex relationships, like my grandma for example, never talk about "gay" people in front of her she goes crazy. She has such a narrow mind but I have to remember what time she's from. Please do not take offense to what I said.
