I am sure it is hurtful that Van and many others knock the lack of health testing and, well I'm not in the know enough, whatever else, but surely we can't be blaming a puppy buyer backing out because of online harassment? If that we're the case that puppy buyer probably isn't what you want anyways, if they felt, in their hearts, this was the perfect dog and breed for them they wouldn't let someone online sway them.
Actually, I've never spoken to the person who posted this thread, about K/Coolies or any other dog breed. I am talking about breeders in general.

It would make no sense for me to knock health testings because no one in the breed does it yet.

I've gotten some serious hatemail for the breeder I chose for my next dog and it just didn't change my opinion. I say, consider the source.

I'm getting the large sherpa carrier. I mean, I'm borrowing it from the lovely Amanda lol

Air canada says the carrier can't be larger than (if Soft-sided)
Height: 27 cm (10.5 in)
Width: 40 cm (15.5 in)
Length: 55 cm (21.5 in)
and must be under 20 lbs. Which is easy enough.

Flight to Boston is only like 2 hours or something so I'm hopeful it'll be fine

I looked into in cabin crate options a while back and decided if I ever had a dog small enough to ride with me in cabin I'd get a Sturdibag - pricey, but certainly seems like the most flexible option for in cabin use.

Thanks guys, I will check those out! I am probably just going to get the large Sherpa bag though since I can get it through work so it's cheaper. Only trouble is that I can't take the airline I wanted to because their pet dimensions are too small for the large bag and I think puppy will be too big for a medium bag. Oh well, I'm sure Air Canada is fine too (they have much better dimensions for pet bags). I have no idea since I've barely travelled by plane, I just know most of my family tends to use a different one for some reason. But who cares - as long as I get to have a puppy at home by the end of all this I'll be happy!

And I also found out that my mom was wrong about the flight length and it's actually only more like 3 hrs and 45mins, so that's better than 5 hours!

I'm really excited for you Devan! Koolie or not. When you get your puppy I want to see it :D

I have raging puppy fever so I doubt it would help, but I'll live vicariously through you. Do you know when you pick your pup up?

Definitely! And if Duke is good with puppies, which I take it he probably is because he's pretty awesome at everything in life it seems, it would be great if we could somehow manage playdates or something. I don't know many people with puppy-appropriate dogs. And I promise I'll ask you in advance rather than randomly ask the day of wanting to do something haha.

Not sure yet about pick up day. The breeder still has some more evaluations to do this week so I probably won't know anything for sure until next week I think. But if I do miraculously get a puppy from this litter I have to pick her up before Dec 14th I think because of holiday airline rules for pets. If puppy doesn't come from this litter because I was late to the party and she might or might not still have one available to me (she doesn't know yet until she does temperament/structure/instinct evaluations) then it won't be probably until summer-ish. Or she said she could refer me to another breeder/litter that one of her dogs sired. So we'll see what happens. I really, really want a puppy, and I desperately want one of these puppies inparticular (but understand if it can't happen), but I think even if this litter doesn't work, I'd rather wait for her next one so puppy comes directly from her because I love everything she does with her dogs/puppies.

Ahh when will we find out!?
As soon as I know, you'll know!

You guys all make me laugh with your guesses. :D Almost makes me want to tell you, but I don't even know anything for sure yet except for breeder choice, so nope! Fingers crossed my next update will be an introduction.

My money is still on border collie but if it's an aussie from Fran's same litter that would be super awesome. I wish I had siblings of my dogs on here... Payton's siblings would be fun... "here's my dog, look how pretty they are!" "HERE'S MINE HELP HE'S TRYING TO KILL ME."

Um, squze me! *ahem*

I do believe that *I* guessed that it would be a puppy from Fran's litter a WHILE ago, so I think I deserve the cred if that is accurate!
