Ah, yes... Breyer horses! I have a gray mare/foal arabian, a stand alone gray arabian that has appaloosa spots on the butt (didn't ever quite understand that one), a mare/foal Clydsedale, a mare/foal thoroughbred (dark bay) and the foal is nursing her, and a high-stepping appaloosa that's something that supposed to look like a saddlebred yet it's an appaloosa! They're all at least 30+ years old. I've always had them and displayed them! PetSmart sells the up to date Breyers...

I think that set you are talking about may be discontinued/retired...but I'm not positive. Your best bet is ebay...you have to sign up, provide a bank account info (all secure) and payment info...usually a credit card number/paypal info etc. Then you can create a username and bid or sell. I started out buying Breyers in 2000 when I discovered ebay...now I try to stay away because it just gets too expensive when you see something going for cheap and feel you must bid on it.

I have somewhere between 80 and 90 traditonals, about 16 classics, and 50 stablemates. My "herd" has been at a standstill until I recently started picking up new stablemates here and there (usually between $2 and $5 each) Good luck on your search, and like someone here said (I'm too lazy to look) visit some of the message boards-model horse blab is a good one and ask around. Someone may have one for sale. I also visit the World Collector's Net/Breyers, and Fallen leaves, those are two other good Breyer boards.

I used to collect, it got too expensive. I have the same Mesteño though! I'll put up a picture of my collection later. They're all in the closet right now because after I redecorated, I didn't have room to display them anymore. I'll have to do a quick set up for the photo.

I only collect the old ones! They're the best, IMO :lol-sign: I have some of the newer ones, though. They were given to me as gifts

There's a collectors book... I'll have to find mine and get back to you to give you the title... but it's very clear on what's discontinued and a fair price ect... For Christmas once my (x)b/f got me some off of ebay, and they had rubbing's on them, a scratch or two, ect

I'd say your best bet is a flea market or auction: that's where I've gotten some of my best. You can find them cheap; people don't realize what you have. ;)

I have more but no room for them. These two are my most recent.

Sea Biscuit to the right and War Admiral to the left.

And this guy I was never sure if he was a Breyer or not. I have had him for years though. Got him in his box at yard sale. He's a black Mustang.

Ohhh, I love Breyer! And I actually know the model you are talking about, I loved that one, but don't have it. If I ever find anything about it I'll let you know!

Umm... I have some but I played with them when I was little so their legs are all broken and duct taped on :(. I wish they weren't broken though, Emily probably would have enjoyed them.
