Thought this might be fun. :)

Immediate family:

Dad: 2 papillons
sister: 1 papillon
step-brother: 1 smooth miniature dachshund

My mom's side of the family is pretty typical with pet bred type small dogs.

My grandma (recently passed): 1 rat terrier, 1 yorkie
aunt: 2 yorkies, past had dachshunds forever
cousin: 2 rat terrier, 1 beagle
then a crazy aunt with 36 cats.

Dad's side is interesting.
Aunt: currently has a liver brindle mix. I thought plott hound x but it's unknown. In the past she has a JRT (passed this year) she did JRTCA stuff with and a rottweiler she did herding, agility, and obedience with. I know the rott had her UD. Stopped showing dogs and now competes working cowhorses.
Uncle: He currently has a border collie x pit bull. In the past has trained and raised pointers to hunt with. Also has trained a couple plotts for his boss and heeler-ish dogs for the cattle. Used to have a heeler x BC. Had a merle great dane till recently.

Other aunt/uncle: JRT
Cousin: 1 pit bull rescue, 1 2 year old blue heeler
cousin 2: currently has/has had several great danes. He has done schutzhund with a couple of them. Also has a 10 month old Boerboel.

My family members for the most part are not dog people.

Immediate Family: I am the only one with a dog.

Dad's side:
My dad has 5 siblings, only one has a dog. My uncle/aunt own a chow mix. She is an outside farm dog, and only allowed inside when it is way too cold (they live in northern Canada).

Mom's side:
My mother also has 5 siblings, two have dogs.
One uncle consistently owns exactly one german shepherd at a time and has done so for decades. They are his farming companion, mostly outside (but so is he) accompanying him around the farm and riding along in the tractor, but come inside in the evenings when TV is watched.

Another uncle owns a medium sized mix, who is a pampered house dog.

Mom and dad have four cats and a Pit X, Zane.

Maternal Side:
Grandma (deceased since 2010): A few years before she passed she had a long haired large mixed breed dog. In the 1960s she had some cats. Grandpa passed in the 1980s.

One uncle lives on a ranch and has several dogs, mostly Pit X Labs. He had a yellow Lab as a teenager in the 1970s. He also has barn cats.

One aunt has a Sibe and a Russian Blue cat. She had Persians in the early '90s.

Other uncle had a cat for 15 years.

Other aunt had three cats for close to 20 years.

Paternal Side:

Grandpa (deceased since 2011): Had an English Bulldog when my dad was young (1960s).

One cousin has a Great Dane.

Nobody on my mom's side of the family has pets. (Though, that consists of like 5 people. So not many LOL)

On my dad's side...

Grandmother has a chihuahua terrier mix that has to be close to 16yo by now. She also has a shih tzu that's younger... probably 5 or 6yo.

Uncle 1, I'm not sure if he has a dog anymore, though he lives with grandmother. He had a couple cane corsi, the last of which (that I know of) passed away recently. He has also had boxers, but I don't believe he has gotten another since one passed a few years ago.

Uncle 2 has a dog or two, but I don't know/remember what. I believe some mixed breed.

I don't know about the rest of that family.

My dad's other family..

Aunt has a basenji mix. She's gotta be around 15 too, now. She belonged to my cousin, who was killed in a car crash, and stayed with my other aunt for years until she could no longer keep her. So the aunt that has her now took her.

My cousin has a rescued chihuahua/JRT mix. He's adorable and I'd take him in a heartbeat if the need arose. He actually used to belong to another cousin, but his 3 year old started torturing the dog.

I think another cousin had some kind of dog, though last I know she was trying to get rid of it. So maybe not.

I... think that's it? There are many more cats around, but really, there's not a large amount of pets in general. Thankfully, because most of them really shouldn't have pets. Another cousin had a golden, but she got really sick last year and was euthanized when they couldn't find an answer after she woke up paralyzed.

Aunt: Goldendoodle
Aunt: Goldens (2)
Uncle: had labs forever, they've long since died and I think they got over having dogs.

Dad's side:
Aunt: Labradoodle (medium).

In-laws have Lissy, an adopted Finnish Spitz. And obviously they have Pen :)

That's about it. A few of my Aunts, Uncles, and adult cousins have dogs or cats, but no one is in to it as much as I am. I'm seriously the odd one out in my family for many reasons haha.

On my side -

My mom has a Catahoula or Catahoula mix. Netti was surrendered to the local dog warden after getting into the previous owner's rabbits and snacking on a few.

My sister has an adequate Dane. He was a pound puppy that she got 4.5 years ago. He is as sweet as pie and as doppy as they come.

My brother has a rabbit named Frank.

On Ben's side, his great uncle has a beagle-basset-something cross. He is very fat, but very loved.

My brother has 2 boxers. Sister has a boxer and a bichon mix (sensing a trend?). Other sister has a BC mix.

As far as extended family, I don't know lol. I know I have an uncle with a rottweiler that is perhaps shown in conformation.

My mom has a rat terrier named Fritz... he is a real pistol :)

My sister has a little corgi mix.

My aunt has a yorkie and a small mutt.

My cousin has two mutts.

My maternal grandfather was a GSD guy for almost all his life, in old age he had a wonderful little poodle.

My biological father is afraid of dogs.

My paternal grandparents never had dogs that I know of.

One of my uncles has a springer he hunts with.

My SIL and her family have a great pyr and a golden retriever.

Last I knew one of my brothers, who has estranged himself from the rest of our family (long story), had border collies.

That's pretty much it. We had a cockapoo for a family dog when I was wee, and I'm sure my dad would love to have another dog but my mom has said no more dogs.

Mom's side:

Aunt and Uncle- Chocolate Lab, and I think they have one or two small dogs too. Used to have a JRT. Not sure if they still have their blue heeler or not...

Grandparents- Small and fluffy mutt. Used to have Kady, a red heeler but she died a couple years ago. Have had many dogs (all sorts- Dobes, Cockers, Bulldogs, etc) back when my mom was a kid.

Dad's side:

Aunt and Uncle- used to have either a Golden or a Lab. But my aunt's allergic and they could never properly contain their dog so it ran away. No idea what happened to the poor guy.

Adopted Uncle- Basset hound puppy, I think it's his first dog. And she is SOOO CUTE OMG.

Grandma- A Yorkie and Yorkie/Wirehaired Dachshund mix. But she goes through a lot of dogs. I think she's had the Yorkie for a year or two now, though. She used to breed Lhaso Apsos. Don't know what she had when my dad was younger.

Growing up, we had a Labrador, an ACD mix, a Lab/ACD mix, and an Alaskan Malamute.

Now....

My parents: Australian Shepherd/Collie mix, mini Dachshund

DH's parents: Boston Terrier, Shih Tzu

Sister: Doberman/Husky mix, Lab/Pit mix

Brother: German Shepherd/English Shepherd mix (x2)

Grandma: Yorkshire Terrier (had a mini Schnauzer who passed away a year or two ago)

I tried to convince my other brother to adopt Sherman, as he just moved out of the house and is dogless, but he "doesn't have time for a dog right now". Pfffft. Excuses excuses.

The rest of the extended family aren't huge dog people, but I suppose a few have pets.

Various cousins have a Labrador (for hunting), Rat Terrier/Boston Terrier mixes (x2), a Cockapoo, and a generic shelter mutt.

Aunt has an obese mini Dachshund.

Another Aunt has a Great Dane.

The dogs I remember my extended family having when I was growing up was a Shetland Sheepdog, a Lab/Cocker mix, a Great Pyrenees/Golden mix, a Dalmatian, Beagles (for hunting) and a Toy Fox Terrier.

FIL had Boxers during his younger years, and DH grew up with various GSD/Lab/Malamute type mixes (he claims wolf hybrids...) with his mom. Up until last year his mom also had an Aussie, who passed away quite suddenly due to cancer, as well as a Schipperke. I think his step mom has always had Cocker Spaniels.

My dad has Copper and mom has Shadow, but obviously we all live together, so...

One aunt has a cocker x poodle, had a gorgeous red dobe girl that she ditched. I don't know about the rest of my extended family, I make an effort to not talk to any of them.

Their old cockapoo, Carmen, who died almost 6 yrs ago at age of 6 (hit by car):

^^ All those dogs are/were in a lot of ways also "my" dogs as in they love me a lot and they're kind of family dogs.

My aunt: 14yr old Pit Bull Max

Our family are not that animal friendly and no one wants pets.

My aunt and cousins have
- Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
- long haired Chihuahua

My bf doesn't have any dogs now but had
- shepherd mixes
- black lab

Bf's mom
- pomeranian that she adopted from a friend that was going to surrender

I don't have that many family members to begin with. No siblings, very few cousins so we don't have a lot of dogs in the family.

My parents don't currently have a dog, but they had mini schnauzers for 30 years. Watson is pretty much their surrogate dog now and they travel too much to have a dog of their own.

MIL has an old corgi girl.

SIL has a little chihuahua mix. He has a curly tail like a pug, but his face looks like the Taco Bell chihuahua. Cute little guy!

That's pretty much it. I don't have any siblings, DH only has a sister, and we aren't close to aunts and uncles (I can't think of any with dogs anyway).

Fun idea.

Mom has a Dachshund that is absolutely her little heart dog. She is sweet and obese and very very loved.

Dad has a chocolate lab (sort of) that basically got so tired of being stuck in the house all of the time that she pretty much lives at the neighbors.

Father and Mother-in-law have some sort of herder mix. I'm really bad at breed guesses. She's really fun and incredibly smart.

One of my sister in laws has a lab and a lab mix. They live at a girl scout camp (her husband is the ranger) and basically get to work with him all day in the off season. They love it.

My grandma's chihuahua recently passed away and she got a little puppy that's some sort of small dog mix. I'm even worse at breed guesses for small dogs so I have no clue. She's cute and floppy and SO MUCH FUR.

One aunt has an english retriever and he is GORGEOUS. She doesn't show him or anything but she did a lot of research and got him from a breeder. Hugo hasn't met him yet but I feel like they would be BFFS. He's goofy and fun.

Other aunt has a corgi and a GSD.

I always had dogs growing up. I had a lab mix for 18 years. We grew up together and she was absolutely THE best dog in the world. Kind, loving, gentle but active, excitable but stable... I loved her so much and she passed away almost a year ago. I miss her everyday.

We also had 2 walker coonhounds, a brittany and a GSP. Mostly dogs my dad took hunting.
