So I met he owner of Jazz's dad at the show. They are nice.

They had 4 dogs there for the show. One was Athena. She is 3-4yrs old I think and only has 3 points. Not nessisarily a bad thing, but then they told me how they got her. I guess they had been waiting for a bitch that they liked since they were getting into dobes after a 20yr brake. This I can see, but they said they saw an add in the paper and just thought they would call. They called and liked the bloodlines and were offered her at $600. Thats kind of suspisious if she has good bloodlines. Before you ask, I dont know what they are.

Well she is ugly. I know no dog is ugly, but as far as standrards go, she is horible looking. It's pretty sad when I can tell. LOL. Well they bred her a year ago. :( In MY opinion she is a poor specimin (Dan agrees with me) and she is no were near a CH, and they said they are going to breed her again next heat.

They bred her to Thor (Jazz's dad) last time and had some of the pups there. WOW. Am I glad he's her dad. Even with Athena's bad looks the pups are amazing. Thor's bloodlines are really strong. Im glas because Maggie is a nice bitch.

Now coms to my post. I met Lokie (who was 7th pick pup). He is really nice, but I noticed he was intackt, so I asked if they were planning to show him, or get him nutered. They said they had a 2 breedings agreement with his breeder.

Am I the only one who finds this weird? Why would you breed a 7th pick?? Granted he's nice, but wouldnt you breed a 1st or 2nd pick or wait to the next litter for a nice male?

I know I whont ever purchase a pup from them.

Although I am glad I met Thor in person, and I am glad his bloodlines are so strong (i know nothing is a garentee in breeding)

What pick the puppy was at 7 or 8 weeks can have little bearing on how the dog turns out later.

Judge what you are looking at now, and the pedigree, not what number pick the dog happened to be.

I know of a MULTI BIS Rottweiler who is one of the top producers in our breed, and he was LAST pick.

Like Red said, the initial pick at 8 weeks might not tell you everything. I know I've seen puppies that were absolutely phenomenal at 8 weeks, and when I saw them again at 1 year of age they had completely fallen apart.. Some of the "ugly" puppies grow up to be the most correct adults, and "last pick" can wind up being the dog that has the most to offer the breed.

Dixie was, BUT Dixie is also "perfect" and typically the 7th pick puppy is not. That is my point

Well, I talked to Dan about it.

I guess she has a verry "puppy mill" mentality. She co-owns every SINGLE one of her pups, with breeding agreements on most, if not all of them.

She's also a pathalogical lier.

I guess her common law came and seen dan's last litter and told her about it. she in turn sent the breeder of Jazz's grandma a e-mail stating that the pups were in a dark, cold, damp basment, with no heat sorse and the pups and the mom were dieing.

I have seen his welping box. All I can say is wow. I will get a pic of it. He has everything and it was designed by a vet.

Your dog is not perfect, or close to it.

She has no health testing, she has an incorrect temperament, and she has now produced a puppy with a severe overbite.

Jenn, I will give you a piece of very good advice.

If you want to show dogs, you need to learn to stop saying unflattering things and making accusations against other breeders and dog show judges.

If you don't, you will never get very far.

im just curious, looking at machgirls' website - why her male is offered up at stud? if this was an accidental litter - why is a male with not much in his pedigree, no health testing or titles that i can see, being offered up for stud?

Not my stud, not my dog. It was the "stod fee" that hubby agreed to, well part of it.

He is undergaing his health test now. As Dixie will start soon as well.

His parents were tested though.

But, no, not my dog. And he is gone now as well, moved far away.

Some should take their own advice. ;)

Mach1, if you had a stud dog arrangement with the owners of the stud dog, and you are now advertising said dog for breeding on your website, I'd say you are responsible for CONTINUEING to breed dogs with no health testing.

Red,
I believe she said that her husband agreed to it. What's done is done, no need in arguing over it now.

My originale reply was not directed towards you, yet you feel this need to keep on followig me, for what??To prove what??You have stated your thoughts, your opinions, you everything, so leave me alone, honeslty, it is getting pretty pathetic and you are beginning to make yourself look a bit....desperate??
Really, I will thank you one more time for the help you had given me, but this is it, really, no more thank yous(sorry..)After the PM you sent me, you proved to be, a complete fake.
So please, leave me alone, or do I have to use my little handy dandy ignore button again??

Now, to elaborate my "perfect" post, Dixie was 7th pick puppy, and though she was "rated" by her breeders so far down the line, she is "correct" and should prolly be a champion right about now. So I guess my point being is I do not think you can always tell which dogs are going to be worthy, until way later on in life. Yes, she produced a "short jawed" puppy, but I consider him special needs, just as a human producing a baby w/ a disability. The rest look great!(if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it!!!)I read minds too!!Lol!
