Pls slow down on breeding. There are too many puppies and kitties being born, and having no homes. Lots of them are awaiting for homes from shelters all over the world. How mean is that. Pls SPAY OR NEUTER your animals soon enough. Too many dogs being in heat, runs off, mates and getting killed by crossing roads, cars. Keep them inside while theyre in heat. I think all those breeders should slow down making puppies out there. Too many dogs and cats being born everyday, lol. NOT FAIR TO THOSE ADORABLE ANIMALS.

How am I responsible for what other people do with their dogs, Lisa?

If the good responsible breeders stop breeding good quality dogs, what happens down the road when there ARE no more good quality dogs?

I cherish my breed, I have spend MANY years educating myself, exhibiting dogs, training dogs, and studying every aspect of my breed.

I will not feel guilty for breeding my outstanding bitch when it's time.

breeding dogs

Sorry, but there are other breeders, who only care about money. Some do have trouble trying to sell pups till they get too old, not like adorable puppies but adults. That's sad.

If you were just directing this post to BYB then I agree, but if it was to people like Red then I stronly disagree.

It is alsothe buyers responsibility to research the breeder. If people would learn not to buy from pet stores, bybs, and unethical breeders it would save alot of heartache. There are some good ethical breeders that know what they are doing.

You hit that nail right on the head, CM.

In addition to the DUMB GREED BREEDERS, the people who do no research, buy on impulse, and dump puppies in the shelters are equally to blame.

I agree with this. Also, therre are the people who dump older dogs into shelters too. There are also the people who dump puppies and dogs in shelters because the breed is too big or chews and eats too much for the family or an excuse like that, which ccould be easily solved with reserch in most cases. It makes me mad when they want a dog who doesn't droiol, but they did absolutely no research. I ran into someone who did that before.
