I do not mean any disrespect, but your original post indicated the breeder gave you a lower price because it would not be registered. You said fine, it is just an addition to the family.
Then someone tells you the pup may be show potential, so now you want it to be registered. Whether or not the breeder did the right thing is moot.
There is no contract, so you may have a problem. Maybe the breeder registered the litter - less one pup which was sold to you for a discount.
I just received the registration for my Cairn about a week ago from CKC. The following information is included:
Registration Number, Breeder Name,Breed, Birth Date;Litter Number;Puppy name and colour. Sires Registration number and name, Dam's Registration number and Name, Name of Person who is breeder, Breeder Address, Purchase Date, Owner name, Refernce Number and OCR Number.
I wish you luck.
...well the breeder i bought him from was a registered breeder with the ckc and all her dogs are she had the mom and dad there.
she bragged about how she breeds beautifully proportioned puppies and when i saw them i would be in love .......well i was!!!
she told me the price and i said at that time i didn't have that much and was hoping to get something that weekend cause it was my daughters birthday.
she told me well ok i will sell him to you for that but he will not be registered....so i said fine no big deal i don't care he was just going to be a addition to the family.
now i was thinking it might be fun to get him into training and show him so i contacted the ckc to register him just to find out i can't....
