They both look great! Now, how do I train mine not to jump on the door.
I have marker words for telling the dog that he is misbehaving (such as "Ah! Ah!" "Hey!" and "Knock it off!"). If the dogs were jumping on the screen door or pawing at it I just shout (in order for the sound to travel through the glass) one of the marker words and if they persisted I would actually open the door and say "Knock it off!" It only took about a day for Ronan to learn the rule when he began living with me at 4 years old. OC grew up with the rule so e always understood it for at home but when we would visit our friends in MI, they have a screen door with the glass missing (something I have come to love and will have when I get my own house for sure!) and OC started jumping up on the door and resting his legs on the window frame so he could hang out and see what was going on inside the house. They used the same method as I described above and by the end of the very first day there, OC understood the rule without any qualms.
To reinforce the "no jumping on the glass door", I would also sit on a chair facing the glass door from the inside with their food dish and when one of the dogs (since OC picked up the habit of jumping on the door after seeing Ronan do it) would jump up I would say the marker word and as soon as they stopped jumping I would open the door, fuss with them a bit then give them their meal.
Every now and then when something really has them excited they forget themselves and end up jumping on the door but a quick "Hey!~" reminds them and then they just start jumping straight up and down again LOL
