I officially hate the holidays. They're just ruined for me.

Last new years, my grandpa passed away. This Christmas, a good friend of mine's grandpa passed away, and then my other grandpa passed a way a couple days ago, along with my best friend's cousin. People on here who live in Alberta probably heard about the accident on the QE2. One of the boys was the cousin.

And the thing I hate about that crash is that so many people here are making jokes about driving drunk, when we found out today that alcohol was not a factor. That upsets me. Whether it was a factor or not, those boys had families, people who cared A LOT about them. You don't make jokes, or use it for your latest anti drinking and driving rant.

I dunno, I just needed to vent.

Its good to vent so dont be sorry.
Crashes dont just happen because of alcohol. Alot of things can cause crashes.
I am sorry about your losses and I hope everything for you gets better soon.
We all go through hell but we must stay strong and move on.
Well, we are here for you if you need to talk or vent more.

Thanks. See that's why I like this forum. Everyone here is so understanding and loving. Most other forums if I would have posted that, I would have people jumping down my throat about the fact that most teen crashes do have alcohol has a factor.

People just think that because that is what the news talks about. But they dont open their minds and see there are other reasons.

Yeah. I'm actually doing an essay on raising/lowering the drinking age, and drinking and driving and comparing places with lower drinking ages (Europe) to Canada and the US and it's kind of interesting the stuff I found out. Like how there are actually more DUI's given to middle aged people than to teens.
