What brand/type of dog toys seem to be the most fun for your dogs? Also what ones seem to last the longest?

Tara loves to chew so she's a fan of bones and whatnot. She also loves plushies but destroys them in moments =( She has a giant penguin that she is obsessed with but she chewed his face off so I can only let her have him for a few moments at a time. She loves to play rough! Kongs are only interesting to her if they currently have food in them. So chews and plushies are her favorites!

Lucy loves stuffed squirrels/chipmunks/bunnies. She literally shoves their heads in her mouth and sucks on them like a pacifier in the evenings.

Everything else that she likes it's because there is food involved--kongs, food dispensing toys, etc.

Crazydog loves the PlanetDog tug balls and she's not managed to destroy them.

She also loves her Kong, but only when it's filled with peanut butter.

The big, squishy PlanetDog bone shaped chew toys stood up to Shiva and Kharma.

Well, until Kharma hid them all

I have various cheapo toys (5-10 bucks), always little squeaky toys. Duke has two favourites. His ducky is meant for a small dog, it's only 4-5 inches big. And then he has a blue dragon:

Which has lasted ages. The bulldog I'm watching this week just destroyed his ducky so I have to get a new one. Duke does not destroy toys so I'm lucky in that respect.

PlanetDog toys FTW! Jackson lovesss his Orbee balls.

He really likes most of the JW pet toys too (Cuz, etc) but the smaller ones he tends to chew thru really easily and the medium ones he doesn't care to play with

The mediums of these have lasted us a while though, even for my dads JRT mix who eats everything.

He also loves the Kong squeaker balls. Those are very easy to puncture tho, but in general, our other Kong toys last a while.

CaliTerp- How hilarious! I almost died laughing at that photo!

Renee- I've never heard of PlanetDog but I am going to look for them once we're back in the States. My father's dog Ralph hides all of his toys too ^_^

JacksonsMom- what are those animal toys at the bottom?

Cuz are a favorite in my house but they are destroyed very quickly.

Kongs, orbees, jolly ball have all lasted (although the rope to the jolly ball only lasted about 10 seconds, they still play with the ball).

Also, maybe someone else can help us out here, I have two toys I don't know the name of:

1 - it's a blue stretchy rubber tube you can shove a tennis ball in, and the dog has to get the ball out.

2- it's a big plastic ball with large holes in it, and a smaller ball inside that won't come out. This is a good one, but it gives Milo panic attacks trying to get it out. For a normal/sane dog, I'd recommend it.

Also, the squirrel tree toy...with the stuffed squirrels that come in and out.

The first one sounds like the pooch ball. Never tried it, but I've seen it while browsing. Jeffer's has them. http://www.jefferspet.com/pooch-ball/camid/PET/cp/0033009/cn/100222/

Pretty sure the second is jolly pet's teaser ball. We have some at work, they usually keep the dogs entertained for a while.

The West Paw Bumi has been the running favorite for a while now. We lost one, but thats okay because Lily isn't that toy driven and Scout shares well with her buddies.

They aren't very toy oriented lol.

The first toy I bought for Saxon (this was before I even worked for PDog) was a Planet Dog Orbee Tuff ball on a rope. http://www.planetdog.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=ORBEE BALL The rope didn't last, but he still has the ball almost 2 years later:

Saxon also loves his Orbee Tuff Diamond Plate Ball http://www.planetdog.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=ORBEE DIAMOND PLATE

He also loves this toy by JW, it's a Cuz with a stuffy and squeaker inside. He took the stuffy out and it's now just empty. http://www.jwpet.com/dog/squdetails.html

Those are his longest lasting toys. He also LOVES stuffies, but they only last him a few minutes before they're nothing but skin! So I only buy him really cheap ones when I think he needs some extra fun. :)

OH! Some of Tallulah's favorite toys are the tugs KatieLou made. The purple one's her favorite, of course. Don't tell me dogs don't see colors, lol. She will make a bee-line to choose something purple over the same thing in any other color.

The following comment doesn't contribute to this thread at all except to say:

Dogs (and cats) totally see colors.

Granted, Morgan doesn't particularly CARE about colors, but if you give Ticheli the option, he will ALWAYS play with the yellow toy.

Always.

... carry on. LOL

I was pretty sure that would also give Ozzy a heart attack. Then Steven told me he'd probably just eat it. And that's true, so nevermind.

Good luck, Arnold is a very powerful dog and he's never killed his. It's now a beloved ramming ball of Sloans though, she slams into people with it when she's bored.

Tucker has recently started not caring for hard/rubber toys (except balls but only when I'm playing fetch with him). So we just buy super cheap stuffies (like right now the Halloween toys are all on sale).

One that he really likes but has also avoided death is a plush possum like toy with a knotted rope running through it. We got it for like $2 at the Christmas tree shop. After extensive googling I found out it's a tuggernaut (and a hedgehog lol)

Now that he's less destructive I want to get him a holee roller, he likes being able to squish things in his mouth. He only like the squeaky kong tennis balls because he can squish them. If he gets a regular tennis ball you can see his poor little jaw quiver as he tries to make it squish. He also doesn't seem to want to kill stuffies without squeakers anymore. I gave him a child's teddy bear in august and it's still alive.
