I'm sorry I don't own or know of anyone who owns but I thought I'd share a picture of my first Bernie encounter, which was yesterday at the Mutt Strut. Beautiful HUGE dogs.

Sorry, can't help you with any other members here.

We have one that comes to the local park, though -he's the park hussy...lol!! Such a gorgeous, big, boisterous boy. He just lumbers around and tries to hump everything that moves, it's hysterical. He's just a lovely dog. Well, a big gigantic puppy, really, the way he acts is very puppy-like, and I think he's only a year or two old. I believe they do have a long puppyhood, like GSDs.

I don't know. He looks kind of vicious.

They really arent that big.

I spent the weekend kenneled at a dog show between Great Danes, Mastiffs, Irish wolf hounds and Borzois.

Nothings big anymore. LOL

Yep. He has almost the exact same expression as mine-- except mine likes to hang his tounge to the side.

They are pretty big compared to Kiara!

Although my biggest is 70 lbs, my good friend owns a Mastiff who at 10 months weighed in past 100 (I forget exact weight, but he weighed more than her that's for sure!)

Someone told me that these dogs aren't that big, just slightly larger than a golden retriever but not as big as a St. Bernard, although i like them too :D

That is accurate, although some of the males can be quite sizeable-- 125lbs. or even more if they are over weight. They are known to have voracious appetites, and they have dispositions that many owners find hard to resist, so many end up over weight.

Also know that these dogs have lots of health issues, and they tend to die too young.

I know wikipedia is weird place to get place to get dog breed info but I’ve looked over several of their dog breed profiles and they tend to be more accurate then a lot of the other dog breed sites I come across

Also, if you are thinking about any type of dog it is good to know where to get a quality dog from and what to avoid
