Been eating recalled food

Charlie has always eaten Iams, which I see is now on the recall list. I am switching him to Canidae, but what should I look for in terms of any effect the recalled food might have had on him? He has not been feeling well lately but I figured that was due to his recent bout with whipworms and hookworms.

Best to call your vet. May be a good idea to have them run a chemistry panel to make sure kidney function is where it's suppose to be etc.

Has the Iams dry been recalled yet? Ian's parents feed that junk to their goldens, and have no desire to switch no matter what.

Recalled or not, Iams is best to switch off of anyways.

Charlie has been eating both the dry and canned. He went for bloodwork yesterday and everything looks fine. He is on Canidae now.

Glad to hear it...I hope you like Canidae. I've noticed some very positive things from it since we've began feeding it to our pair!
