Ok today I got Hannah some beef rib bones and I don't know if they are recreational or RMB's. There was a lot of meat on them but the bones were really hard and she didn't chew the middle part (the hardest part) of the bone she just cleaned the meat off and hid it under our kitchen table:rolleyes: . The bone didn't look like something that I would want her chewing up though. Are they considered RMB's or recreational? Is this something I need to watch and take away from her when she gets the meat off?

I don't consider any beef bones edible. However since ribs have meat on them they are technically RMBs. I feed beef ribs to Mandy a lot, but the Labs can't have them because they still try to eat the bones which has resulted in a cracked tooth for one of them.

Cider eats ribblette strips and leaves nothing behind.

But I don't feed raw.. She eats them as a toothbrush.

I consider them RMB's but they don't always eat the entire bone. If it gets down to a small enough piece that it could be swallowed I take it. Sometimes they leave the bone outside and will work on it later.

That's what I did. I took them away when she got all the meat off.
