Ok I posted this on another forum dealing with only Cattle Dogs but in general all dogs have what I call " RITUALS OF ANNOYANCE'" these are the things they do that can be so cute to us sometimes but will eventually get under our skin too. What is it that you dog does on a daily basis that you would call a R.O.A. ?
Here my friends is a day with the four legged wonder I call " My King Of Hearts" and think quietly to myself is a Devil.
Funny thing about these critters Whiskey does this to me too only if ignored he will go get his frog ( Loudest squeaky toy I have ever heard) and get to squeaking it until insanity sets in. So play or be driven mad.
Whiskey waits patiently when I get the vacuum cleaner out and when I least expect it he has it (heeling it )
8:30 A.M. is school bus awareness time. This is when he must be on the back of the chair looking out the living room window to let the bus driver know he is on the job by issuing several growls and barks.
10:00 A.M. fish feeding/herding time. While I feed all my tanks he stands on hind legs and snaps at the fish on the other side of the tank to get them over where the food is. He seems so satisfied with himself for a job well done that after all 22 tanks have been done he is ready to move outside for a quick " PIT STOP" then it is time to see to it that the pond fish and turtles know it's feeding time.
Now the rest of the day is pretty uneventful until Hubby goes to get shower before bed. Now begins the ritual of WATER CONSERVATION AWARNESS. I don't want the shower door shut dad thing If one has to keep shutting the shower door they will save water by hurrying the shower up. " Whiskey's contribution to water conservation plan A.
Plan B is to dive into the bathtub with mom thereby not needing to run separate bath for him !!!
Part C splashing the bath water onto the floor thereby saving more ( no need to fill mop bucket )
And our last daily ritual is to wait until both are in bed and play the " Lets tuck them in game"
God I love that dog !!!!

Awww bless!!! I laughed so much when I read that, I don't have the squeaky toy problem with Holly, but when kids are around her they feel the constant need to squeak the toy as they feel Holly likes it when in reality I'm convinced Holly despises it as much as I do!
