So here it is; a friend has said that Gordy (8month Beagle) doesn’t eat enough meat. That he should be fed a higher ratio of meat to vegetables; as they would in the wild.

The diet he has been on (as advised by his breeder) is as follows:

Dinner: carrots, pumpkin and peas and a chicken neck or two.
Breakfast: two weetbix, which he has recently gone off.

For training he has a mix of dried food, sausages, chicken, salami, turkey.
He has an egg every now and then.

I have two beagles. They're fun to walk, aren't they?

Anyway, I feed them Innova EVO in the morning (and I add salmon oil). At dinner, I give them a frozen meaty bone like chicken wings.

Thankyou, I might look into Innova, hope it is available in Aus with all the great reccomendations.

haha they sure are fun to walk or not. Takes 10 times longer to get somewhere with a Beagle. Can't imagine walking two, double the fun huh. I still love 'em.

I love them too. They just make me laugh. When the pick up a scent, they start to flip out and make this high pitch whine/yelp. I call it "beagling."

Lol tell me about it. It’s so funny, their little noses never stop sniffing, I bet even while they sleep. Gordy has something in his site, he charges towards it, then suddenly gets a whiff and abruptly turns off course.

My brother took him to the vet; he is on the table, gets a whiff of god only knows what, and plunges off of it with no warning whatsoever.
