Last night I was looking at dresses online. I found this one.

Sent the link to my daughter in WI who was also looking at dresses. My daughter said that the dress was so me, I should get it. A little pricier than I'd normally spend but my husband was in the same room taking care of lighting equipment so I called him over to look at the dress he could buy me. His response was "sure, lose weight and get a boob job". WHAT A JERK!!!! First off, I am not fat. I feel like I look fat since I weighed 98-105 pounds for years and now weigh 130. So yes, I always say I'm to fat. No I'm not overly blessed with certain features.

Naturally he ticked me off. He said I could get the dress. I said forget it. I'd never wear it now because I'd feel fat and flatchested, so I would feel like I'd look nasty in it because of you! He tried to cover it up as its always a trick question. When I say I'm fat its a trick. I said no, its no trick. If you were smart you would throw me a compliment. You say *i*t like "gee dear, you look so nice, but no, you dont notice s**t like that with me, your wife!". Anyway, I went to bed mad at him. So I want everyone to look at that dress, and be honest, do you think the only body type that can wear it and look nice would have to be model skinny with the boobs (large chest) to go with it?

Personally I think the dress is ugly! But what I think doesn't matter :p. If you like it go for it. I don't know what you look like but I think that someone with an average figure could definitetly pull it off. Of course you'll need some new boots to go with it :D.

I'm personally not a fan of the dress, but NO its not made just for skinny people with big boobs.. that model doesn't seem "well endowed" anyways. Actually(have a... fair sized rack to say the least) I hate wearing tube top stuff.. I find it doesn't fit as nice if you had a smaller chest.

And the way that dress is built, any body type could get away with looking nice in it. Its fairly loose fitting and those belts are enhancing a waist line.

I don't know, this model has no boobs, lol. I don't like most models anyway, I think they are too skinny, so I think there would be nothing wrong with having some forms in this dress - but yes it depends how many forms that is, I know I would personally look fat and ugly in it.

Honestly, that dress is UGLY and it dosent flatter the model wearing it either. It looks like something that would be on TLC's What Not To Wear Show.. I know what it looks like.. it looks like a streched out table cloth.. lol but dont let us talk you into not getting it.. if you like it, get it and wear it :D

I'm not really getting it anyway. It was his response that ticked me off. To make it sound like a female would have to be built a certain way to wear a certain dress. Skinny and have big boobs, or just simply have the big boobs. If he thought the dress was ugly he could have simply said, thats ugly. That would have been good enough. I do think the dress is cute but not cute enough to spend that kind of money on it.

becca...if you like it...maybe buy it...whats the return policy??

i was actually thinking that dress was made for ppl who do NOT have big boobs...it would look much nicer on a flatchested person that a pamela anderson, lol...and you def dont have to be a twig to wear it!!!

Not that i have experience with marriage...but i dont get many compliments from my bf (of almost 2 years) if i complain about being fat (which i know i am not...i just stopped working out, so i am moreso out of shape, and could really use some toning up...)

ANYWAYS...he explained why...he ended up getting sooo annoyed at his ex (who was a bit bigger) cause she would complain NONstop about being fat, and he'd be all like "noo you arent!"...then one day he just got so sick of watching her eat, and complain, and just sit on her a$$ that his response was "if you think you are fat...the DO something about it" LOL...he has a good point...

anyways, my point was is that maybe you were complaing about it a lot lately and he just got sick of hearing it...and that was kinda his way of getting revenge...really mean way, but yah...anyways, he is your husband and i am sure he loves you just the way you are :) just wanted to throw that in (cause it really helped when my bf explained that, cause i was getting a lil angry at some of responses...like he would pinch my fat and be like 'yah, you are' - and it was funny at times, but one day he did it when i was in a bad mood...wasnt pretty)

I agree with Dreeza, if you like the dress then you should get it. Dosent matter what other people think.. even your husband, matters what you think. I get raked over the coals almost daily for buying my gigantic fluffy Ugg boots that make me look like the imbonable snowman but I love them, even though they are a bit ridiculous :D

Everything I wanted to say has been said minus one thing....

Never go to bed angry, especially not at your spouse.

Your subconscious just broods over that anger all night long and you have no control of it.
Then when you wake up you're more pissed off than before.

My mom and dad's pastor (pastur, paster? Preacher dude) made them promise they'd never go to bed angry with each other before he would even do the ceremony for them.

To this day they claim they've fulfilled that vow, and I believe them. I've seen them stay up all night long until they calmed down.

Just a bit of suggestion. I know my mind plays over the days events, especially stuff I think of before I go to sleep (there's a reason you'll wake up sometimes and have the answer to a problem you've been dealing with a lot; personal, math, science, what have you). 8 hours (or however much sleep you get) of uncontrolled thought is 8 too many in my book.

Becca,
I think it's just plain rude that he said that. Yes, I am honest with my fiance and he with me about what looks good on one another. But, I would never say anything like that. Most women naturally have a fixation on what their body looks like, even the best built women. If he didn't think the dress would look good on you, that's all he had to say: I don't think it's your style. Saying that he thinks you would need a boob job is like telling him he needs a... well, you know. And, I agree with SummerRiot, women with smaller chests do wear clothes better.
Anyway, I like the dress. Very boho. I love boho looks. :)

That was rude. And I think it's a nice dress. Not everybody's style but I think it's pretty and would look really weird on someone with big boobs. You don't sound fat at all and I'm sure you could pull it off. Plus your daughter thinks it would look good on you and I bet she knows you well. Ignore the dumb *******. Or better yet tell him his pants make him look... you know.
