bath after math

Does anyone else's dog become insane with hyperness after their bath? Every dog I have ever had always does. I just gave my two a bath and they are nuts!

My daughter gave Bruzer a bath the other night Gunnar and Daisy tormented him the rest of the night. They probably thought it was a new dog because he smelled so clean!

The second I finish rinsing Strider he streaks around and around the yard at 35 mph. I think he's trying to air dry himself. It works pretty well.

After mine act crazy LOL they always take a super long nap... thats what they are doing right now

My one dog doesn't any more but she used to tear from one end of the house to the other and get going on the lanolium (sp?)and smack into the wall, than run into the bathroom and plop into the tub and smack into that wall LOL But now she has another dog to rough with.

Meg does huge puppy fits after baths, swimming, etc. Really any time you get her belly wet. Tail tucked, legs flying, running huge circles, then bounding up to me, doing a play bow, and taking off again. Always makes me laugh!

Yes! All our dogs have always had the after-bath "zoomies" .... same thing with after a swim.

I always figured they were trying to dry themselves off more quickly.

Yup...every dog I have ever bathed has gotten the ya-ya's after a bath. Mine like to drag themselves across the floor/couch/bed in between mad dashes around the house. Nothing like climbing into a bed that smells vaguely of wet dog.

yep... they all get the zoomies... cept Sophie but she's 11.

I love bathing mac and Buster at the same time because the play that follows is hilarious... normally ends up crashing under the house into a pile of dirt with me running and yelli n behind them though.
