barking

i have 2 beagles and 1 of them keeps on barking. it barks all night most of the time. i dont know why. is there any way to make him stop? if he dont stop i think were gonna get rid of him so i want to find away to stop him from barking so i dont have to get rid of him.

I had a beagle before & he barked like crazy, I think it is something they like to do. What you need to do is training so the dog knows when it is ok to bark and when it is not. DO a search in the forums, there have been lot's of threads on it. Check them out!

Just wondering where he is when he is barking? My beagle usually does not bark to much unless she is outside and there are other dogs barking. Occasionally she will bark at something outside the window or door, or the TV, but she never does any excessive barking when inside the house. Or even when she is outside except when all the neighbors dogs are barking also.
