Banner´s.. you ever click on one?

Hi!

By now some people already know me and know that I paint and draw other people´s pets and since I am returning to painting after couple years brake I am unknown for most of the world..

To improve things a little bit and to increase visits to my site (or maybe get an order) I payed for a banner on one swedish (I am from Sweden so i thought of starting there) pet site that is visited a lot. Banner (for a month) costed as much as my oil paintings cost but result was 200 visits by now.. Usually it takes 1000 unique visits to get an order.. so this banner is a big loss.

So to stop myself throwing money down the drain I thought of asking you guys if you EVER click on banners and visit sites?

Never clicked on any....except by accident.

Generally speaking if I haven't found the site myself, I don't bother with it.

I don't. In fact I block them out completely with AdBlock.

Never ever, my adware blocks them too and I would never change that.

Hi!

GlassOnion you probably mean popups.. banner is let´s say a sponsor of a site.. that has image with name of service, company, whatever and if you click on it you go to that site.. no pressure no nothing.. just a choice.. pretty much like google adds on top of chazhound forum...

Pop ups are those anoying things that keep on jumping out on some sites and drive you crazy...

But by 2 answers I already know I did throw money down the drain..thanks for answers...

No, I meant what I said. I block them.

Firefox already takes care of the pop-ups. AdBlock (an extension for Firefox) allows me to block banners and any other images on the webpage.

Like I said, I block them.
