Bad dog habbits!

Hey, my dog Lucy has a bad habbit of eating her own dog pooh, what can I do to stop her doing it? Thanks

Well, pick it up as soon as she goes so she can't eat it or you can go to a pet store and buy a product designed to make their pooh taste foul to them.

When I pick the pooh up do I heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes let it cool abit and garnish with salad and haypresto instent food recycled!

Try feeding the dog a small amount of pineapple. But make double sure (you can ask Mordy) that it is Ok for them. I've heard this makes their poo unappealing to them.

Probably the best thing is to clean it up right away.

pineapple often works well, but you also need to look at what you are feeding your dog to begin with. a switch to a more digestible food could fix the situation already.

Yeah...LOL. Some of the foods out there probably have a lot of stuff in there that the dog can't utilize so he poops it right on out. Mmmmmm yum...a second helping of corn.

My Pit mix was into this big time. We tried all the usual stuff, Adolph's, ForBid, etc, and they seemed to make him want to eat more of it! When I had two other dog's, he preferred my Lab's loads, but after he died, he ate his own, and on a walk, he would "snack" the entire way, if I let him. Finally, we started giving him vitamins (Pet Tabs) as just a desparation move, and after a couple of weeks, he started passing up "treats" and not long after that, quit totally. If we ran out of pet tabs, or just stopped after we ran out to see what happened, he would start again.
