I was in a car accident today.

Apparently.

So I started this new job where I go to people's houses for their health insurance company and do these health assessments. I just got out of one, was driving down her tiny little road thinking "Man this should be a one way street" but there weren't any signs so I kept going. My GPS sure as hell didn't tell me. I went to turn left at the next road, didn't see anyone coming either way, so I turned. I went about 10 feet down the road when I heard a squeal, and when I looked in my rear view mirror, there was a guy on a motor cycle lying in the road. I was like, "oh ****." There were no other vehicles around. I parked on the side of the road, and ran back to check on him. He was standing up, this old motorcycle dude wearing leathers with a big long white beard, coming towards me saying, "You bitch!" Sooo I went back to my car to get my cell phone and stuff. He's like, "You better not leave!" Other people were around by this time.. it was right outside a bar. Of course bars in my town at noon on weekdays are never empty

Yup so.. I missed my next appointment, and I got a ticket for 2 violations - driving down a one way street and failure to yield to Motorcycle Dude. The cop guy said I probably wouldn't have to pay the violation for driving down a one way street if I go to court next week because he said he wrote in the report that there were no signs where I was coming from. So I have to miss a few hours of work to go to court to take care of a bullshit violation.

I am so sorry, but at least the cop recognized that you weren't just being oblivious, they really don't have the streets marked properly!

How did the biker guy end up dropping his bike if he was BEHIND you though?

He was coming from my right on the road I was turning on. I didn't see him. He was in my rearview mirror on his side after I had turned.
