Baby rat pics (And a couple ferret pics)

Aw, the baby rats are verrry cute 
I like their names!
And as always YAY FERRET PICS!! lol
As a side note, I've been up 7 rats before and they aren't hard to care for as long as you have a little money saved up for emergency vet bills. I don't know if Punky has this problem (but I assume so) but once people hear that you rescue (as I foster dogs) EVERYONE and their brother comes out of the woodwork wanting you to take theirs. When you have a pet in your hands and you KNOW they aren't being properly cared for it IS hard to say no. With that being said, everyone has to have a limit. BUT my limit last year is different than ths year, stuff happens, people get busy , or less so. I know last year I said one foster was my absolute limit, and now I technically have two (if you include Cocoa). I'm at my limit now though LOL with Tucker on crate rest and Mia's sugery coming up - no they're not my dogs but of course I'm going to help wth them

I agree its easy to collect animals (I had spell where people were offering me free horses all the time) And the rats are deff squee worthy
But honestly reading this thread makes me wonder.. does the lady doth protest too much? Punky your action seemed pretty extreme and perfectly calculated to escalate drama.

there super cute babies, i love blues and that champagne hooded is a cutie, rattie feet make me smile.
ignoring everything else i am going to ask if theres a reason you keep them in a tank though?
not enough ventilation for my liking, especially for boys, im sure youve had many and they do fine, i know plenty of people keep them in tanks, but i definatly would suggest checking into buying a nice big cage (something like a ferret nation) for all of them, more hangingn and climbing space too and much more space for toys, LOTS of toys

Bratina- I have found rats and hamsters in boxes on my front porch before, i try to find homes but since nobody wants them I end up keeping them.
I dont keep my rats in tanks, they have ferret nations. I had then in the tank briefly while I was cleaning an old quarantine cage for them. Ive posted pics of my FN before, and im in the process of getting a CN.

I found an FN on CL for sale, and its a great price and brand new, but I dont want to have to do any work with hardware cloth to make the wire spacing small enough for babies, so ill probably just stick with getting a CN so I dont have to do anythimg extra besides the daunting task of assembling it alone (since nobody ever wants to help me)
I only have two rat girlies left, and I'm not adoptig any more for a ling time... I jst hate there short life span

I deffinitly know what you mean! We've had dogs and birds left on our porch! (this is all when I lived with my parents. We've been keeping it low key since I've moved out for that very reason) Not to mention the cat, but I think he was a stray who wondered over. I just hope mo one does it again any time soon, because I don't need any more animals right now, I'd hate to have to try and take them to the shelter or something (and they're almost always full)

I just wanted to say that at one point in time I was the owner of 21 rats. I see nothing wrong with the ones that you have now, as I have five of my own in a FN.

I WANT your champagne colored rattie! Makes me think of my Melacatone. She died a few years ago...
I really wanted a CN this year, but we have boys so it would kind of been a dumb purchase. ESPECIALLY since I will never own girl ratties. I love the big man squishes!
