Aww! (Cat)

Well I'm staying at my godfather's house, and there's this fluffy black cat that comes by every day to get some tuna. She's so cute! She loves attention. I think maybe she was abused earlier in her life because every time I reach down to pet her, she ducks. She REALLY loves attention. After I close the door (it's glass, so I can see through it) she stays outside about thirty minutes and then finally leaves. My godfather doesn't exactly stay at his house too often, so he can't take care of her. I think she's a stray. He says there's someone that takes care of her down the street but doesn't exactly 'own' her.

I wish I could take her on the trip back home. I'm going to try to persuade my parents to buy me a cat, but I guess I'll have to do my homework first.

Cats and dogs do get along though, right? That's what I hear.

Yes of course they get along, you just have to introduce them properly, which isn't hard.

Also, don't buy one, as you can see from the stray at your godfathers there are tons all over the place who need homes. Maube by the time you are ready, one will find you or if not then you can adopt one from a shelter.

I agree! Cats and dogs can get along.. take it from me, I have 12 dogs, and 25 cats..and they get along great!

As for buying, don't purchase a cat.. there are just so many in shelters needing homes. This is kitten season..and they are filling up in shelters. If you want a really easy transition, get a kitten to introduce to the dog.. or find a rescue that knows if the cat does good with dogs.
