Remember the chow I posted pics of recently? The beautiful sweet red girl at FOHA? Well, she went to the vet last week to get spayed, and it turns out that she is PREGNANT with eight puppies! I'm posting because I'd really like to get Chili a foster home so that she doesn't have her puppies in a kennel! I think she'll be due soon, her belly and teats are getting big and her milk is starting to come in. Of course, if anyone on here does foster Chili, it will be a mandatory requirement that they post chow pup pics! I wish I could, but besides the fact that my apartment bans chows, we just don't have the space.

Pic thread in which I posted Chili pics previously:

Are you available to come live at my house? I have the space, but absolutely no time to deal with puppies!

I wonder what Lucy would do with puppies...

WOW. Oh, if I were closer! I would foster in a heartbeat. I have the time and a ton of space. I'd love to have little puppies running around the house.

I'm nowhere near close to the area, unfortunately :(

I am surprised that they didn't do a spay/abort. Here it's pretty much a given for shelter dogs and cats.

Same problem here. I was admiring Chili just recently on the FOHA site too! I can deal with the whelping part, but I just don't have time to foster 8 puppies and their momma. Sob.

I think Docket would LOVE puppies. Sarama, not so much.

Now, we just might be interested in one of those puppies in 8 weeks or so . . . if I can talk Mike into it . .. and depending on what their other half appears to be . . .

Wow, I would love to adopt one of her puppies!
I wish I could foster her, but I have no clue how the birth to ready to go stage goes.

Update: Chili has a foster lined up. Its nobody I know, but I saw a picture of them with her on the newsletter, and they seem nice. I don't know when she's going into foster though. Hopefully soon!

Update: On Monday, Feb 27th sometime around the buttcrack of dawn, Chili gave birth to 9 puppies in total! Unforunately, the 9th was runty and it didn't make it, but other 8 (7 girls and 1 boy) are healthy and doing fine!

I have here, one pic (would have gotten more but my camera died):

Chili is currently in a foster home. If I happen upon more puppy pics, I will post them.
