After he is 2 years old with all health clearances done and at least one title under his collar.

I highly recommend that you get your boys fixed at 6 months, or in Bailey's case (as it sounds like he is over 6mo.) as soon as you can.

Did you buy him with the intention to breed him ? Also what can he offer to the breed im guessing he is a SBT which he would need to be L2 Hga i think it is tested and im sure they are hip scored aswel. If you just want to breed him because you think he should have a litter before he is neutered i would leave it and just get him neutered, breeding a dog can make them more dominant and scent more than before because they have had a taste of it and that then doesnt always go away with neutering.

I wasn't thinking of Mating him with anything other than a Purebred Staffy Bitch!
Staffords are the number one dog in rescue's across the UK...I wasnt incinuating that you were going to breed him with anything other than a Stafford but I personally think there's already enough Stafford's in the world without breeding more and adding to the problems in rescue's across the UK. Not saying that you would..But I think theres already more than enough Stafford's to go around crying out for homes, not including dogs that are waiting in rescue.

I really have a good feeling about you and your posts.
I think you are being totally honest in asking such a question.....which I cannot fault you for being inquisitive.
But the true reality is getting Bailey fixed will probably avoid some dominance issues and will help keep your two getting along much better. That really is the most important thing. And also getting Ralph altered when the time comes.
Think about it this way......there are sooooooooooo many dogs that have great qualities yet have been dealt a hand with a bad owner. So now they are in the shelters just waiting for a good home or waiting to die. Instead of finding homes for future pups...why not broadcast the ones in need of a home....you might save alot of lives.
I have a feeling you will do the right thing.

Think of it this way.
If you have NEVER HAD CHOCOLATE, you cannot "miss" it, because you don't know what it is.
NEUTERING a male dog removes sexual thoughts and frustrations from his life.
It is the kindest thing to do for a male dog that is not going to be used on a regular basis.
Breeding him once beforehand, IMO, is much worse for the dog than never having bred him.

He will always be a good boy, bred or neutered. JMHO
If you want to test him, show him, and work him, go right ahead! =)
My Flyball trainer has a gorgeous staffy girl. She is from a BYB who bred their friendly pet dogs, and didn't see any point in testing. Unfortunately, her baby is going through painful hip surgery this weekend... in August, they will operate on her other hip. She's just over 1 year old, and she can no longer compete in the sport that she loves (she also did wonderful in pulling, and can't ever do that again) because of a BYB probably just wanting "1 litter". (this is Jo-jo)

I just want to Thank you Julie for what you said and also everyone else for your comments and suggestions.
As i said Breeding Bailey was only a thought!
I think that i will have him booked in for his alteration
You know i just love him so much and would have loved for him to father one litter, but as you all said there are too many unwanted dogs in the world and i would hate for one of all of his pups to end up in rescue centers.
