hey everyone, my english bully is almost 4 months, he is housetrained for the most part but if we are in my room with the door shut for a long period of time, he will not ask to go out, he will just pee on the carpet, i know he is young and am not expecting him to ask to go out just yet, im just wanting to know if there is any way i can train him to ask to GO OUT, like scratch at the door or go to the door or something, thanks in advance. here he is by the way.

I dont think you can, so I think you should just give him to me, hee- hee.But seriously, I know some people have taught their pups to ring a bell to go out. Mine will just let me know buy giving me a look. At 4 months though, I still made sure that I watched them all the time.He is such a cutie.

Yeah, if you search the forums, I believe there are a couple on how to teach your dog to ring the bell.

To make it short, I believe you put a bell by the door. Everytime you go outside to take them to the bathroom you ring the bell...

My guys tell me, Hades by crying, Roxy by barking, because they're older and know that they're not supposed to go inside....
