I'm not normally a junk food person, but I had the worst craving for it today. Lunch was a juicy, wonderfully delicious double cheeseburger with all the veggies on it, plus jalapenos. Of course both halves of the bun were buttered and toasted. And I had to have fries on the side.

It was the most unhealthy thing I've eaten in months. AND IT WAS AMAZING! My stomach is still doing the happy dance just thinking about.

Anybody else in a "bad food" mood?

I often have dessert-crazy days. When my sweet tooth hits, it's hard to fight it.

I am making cookies right now as I type. LOL

I don't have a sweet tooth. I never was a big sweets eater, even as a child. But savory and salty foods? Mmmmmmm. I have the world's worst weakness for Ruffles and ranch or onion dip.

Oooh, I'm actually having one of 'those' weeks.

Background - I've lost about 35 kgs by just focusing on eating nutritiously and exercising more. Treats are fine, but for me they have to be 'treats' and not binges (emotional eater)

This week, my uni assignments were all due, I'm working full time, normal life stuff, dogs of course, plus my fairly new (and much more intensive) more active lifestyle... it just got me stressed, tired (lack of sleep) and turned into a cycle of being really, really time poor this week.

I still ate healthy meals, but my snacks! Oh my God! But that's ok, life happens. I'm pleased to say that they were somewhat portioned controlled each time I had something BUT I had a fair bit. Also, I work at a bakery. Lots of off-cuts and quality control (ie, sampling) and I can usually say no, but this week I basically just surrendered and sampled everything.

But the pressure is off now (last assignment submitted just before midnight on Saturday) so it's back to making some better choices.

Edit - I just love food - sweet and savoury, junk food and veges and everything in between. And I've always had a big appetite. The worst thing I could do is go on a strict 'diet' and walk around starving lol. No, I just had to really look at what I was eating and in what quantities and swap things around so I was eating the more nutritious stuff.

We have a popular local restaurant that serves delicious poutine. Granted, I've never had authentic Canadian poutine so I'm not sure how this stacks up against the real thing, but I think it's delicious!

Mmmmmmm.......

I had McDonalds chicken nuggets for lunch yesterday, then last night I was eating Nutella straight out of the jar. And this evening I had an Arby's sandwhich plus curly fries and a medium Jamoka shake. NOM NOM NOM.

My time of the month is Wednesday and I can tell. LOL

A burger isn't really all that bad for you, so you don't have to feel that bad!

We've been celebrating DH's birthday for the last three days since he was out in the field for his actual birthday. And, just because I've been such a pain about our new diet, I bought him all his favorite snacks. Cake, brownies, we had muffins this morning....just all kinds of processed sugary junk. I did manage to eat steak and fish for our going out dinner the other night, but I killed it with a loaded potato skins appetizer.

And, of course, it's that time of the month for me too. I plan on getting back on track tomorrow when he leaves again. But I don't have high hopes.

Yesterday I ate a small tub of ice cream. Today I ate 2 brownies and I have a cheesecake in the fridge that is still calling to me. I am craving bacon like there's no tomorrow.
Oh, I also have a killer case of heartburn. D:
Will someone come and feed me twice a day out of a bowl like a dog? Otherwise I'm gonna be like 300 lbs. o.0

I'm feeling a bit proud of myself. I just got done taking a nap and sunning myself (and holy crap, did I forget how nice it feels to get some sun after being stuck inside all winter!!) and instead of eating a bowl of icecream I had a bowl of yogart instead. Granted, that was because we don't have any icecream right now, but still. :p
