Yikes! I wouldn't touch that food with a ten foot pole! Since you're in the UK, the ingredient list is a little different than what I'm used to looking at, but I can still tell it's not a food I would ever feed. I have a friend on another dog forum that lives in the UK and the food choices there are HORRIBLE. The best one that I know of is Eagle Pack.
cereals, meat and animal derivatives (poultry), derivatives of vegetables, oils, fats, vegetable protein extracts, sugars, vegetables, minerals, vitamin premix, permitted antioxidants BHA and BHT, permitted EEC antioxidants.
Anyway, I highlighted the ingredients I have the biggest problem with. For starters, the food is grain based and meat should be the first ingredient. BHA and BHT are artificial preservatives that can cause health problems. Sugar has no place in a health dog food. And a huge issue is that the ingredient list is so ingredibly VAGUE. What "meat" and "animal" derivatives are they talking about? What "cereal"? That can make a huge difference. My dog is allergic to wheat and I think possibly barley so that's vastly different from feeding him brown rice for instance. What vegetables, oils, and fats are in the food?
I really don't understand why foods in the UK have such vague ingredient lists. People have a right to know specifically what is in the food. Maybe that's why there are still such poor food choices, people aren't very educated about dog foods, don't know what ingredients to look for, the ingredient labels are very vague, etc. so the dog food manufacturers can get away with selling an inferior product. Anway, sorry to digress, the dog food situation in the UK just really irks me.
