I knew things were going too good for me today. We had our company Christmas lunch, Jester was Mr. Awesome in our walk...and as I was walking back to sit in my computer chair, I felt my leg buckle. This was a familiar feeling, as this had happened once before. But AHHHHH! :yikes: My left kneecap had popped out of its' track and had moved over to the left side of my leg. The pain was red hot. I fell to the floor, straightened my leg, and pushed it back into place. Then I had to somehow get to my cell phone to call my husband; only my cell was in the living room whereas I was in the back of the house. Since Jester is not trained to get the phone (he'd have probably brought me his bone...doesn't help, but can't blame him), I had to scoot on my butt to the living room with Jester worrying all around me (my scream probably scared the poor little guy), grab my phone and call my husband. He was thankfully already on his way home. After x-rays and a promise to visit the physical therapy department (think this'll count towards my clinic hours for PT school? :)), my knee still hurts a ton...but I've got meds. ARG! Stupid faulty body parts! Why can't parents be screened for joint problems like we do for dogs??? My little sister has a shoulder that keeps dislocating, and I have a kneecap that doesn't wanna stay where a kneecap should stay. :( We should be returned with a refund. Thanks for listening. :)

Owwwww . . . There was a girl on the softball team with me in school whose knee did that. It just looked agonizing  Do what you need to do to take care of that knee. (((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Thank you! Yeah, I'm alternating ice and heat. Mostly ice at the begining to get the swelling down. But then my knee started feeling like...well, nothing, cuz it was all numb. So now I have to thaw it. :) I've heard that brownies also vastly improve the healing process...I'm trying to see if I can convince my husband of that. :D

Yup, that's the problem I have with mine, too.

I joke about it with my parents, that they were irresponsible breeders, and that I'm defective and should be spayed. :D

I know a guy on the football team who tore his knee to where the knee cap was at the back of his knee. He yanked it back across. two plays later he started feeling a slight tingle in it. he has very high pain tolerance somehow. sometimes its just weird. He doesn't play anymore, but he helps them out, and he has joined FFA. That's how i know him.

It took a whole lot of begging my mom to get me anything when i broke my leg, but sience i slept on the couch for 6 weeks i got control of the tv(sorry dad no basketball for you and brother tonight. It's nothing but animal cops tonight. They have a marathon all week. imagin that.:D)

Rest up beg for food. They give in in the end. Work on your sad face. works every time. Think of the face your dog gives you when he wants something.:p

I think my husband has already stopped feeling sorry for me. At least he gave me the whole couch to lay on while he played his video games! Arg! :)

I will use my puppy dog face if it comes to that! It is a powerful weapon, though, and I took a vow to never abuse it!
