I have never celebrated halloween and I don't mind that one bit. Some people think I'm somehow missing out on something...what, cavities? I don't see anything wrong with my family not celebrating the "holiday" and I'm not against anyone who celebrates it. I have friends who celebrate it and I could care less whether they celebrate a "holiday" where you dress up in a costume and get candy or not. :)

Is it just personal belief or is a religious belief?

Either way my mom took me out when I was little but as soon as I was old enough to decide for myself I stopped going. I take my girls out but when they get old enough it will be their choice. No need to force anything on anyone, as far as I am concerned. I use to take Jessie out my doggie, but I think it may be best to not take out Yukon. Traumatize the poor pup. Not sure what Dallas will be like, will decide on her when we get to know her better, might just wait until next year to decide for her too.

It is a religious belief. It has been this way my whole life and it doesn't bother me at all - instead of trick or treating on halloween we go to a movie or something.

Oh and just so you all know, though it may sound like we're super strict, we are not!! Not as strict as some people I have met...

No explaination required and I am glad you go to a movie or something. That can be really fun too, to me it is more fun then jumping in and out of a car because I only take the girls to people they know. No strangers, too much danger with that these days. Personally it was a pain in the butt with my mom too because she would only let me go to people we knew so we had to drive from house to house.

I'm just good-naturedly teasing you. I just had this image of a bunch of over-dramatic goth kids standing around a stone bench filled with little Butterfingers, candy corn and Kit-Kats going "we hope you find our offering pleasing O Dark Lord" and started cracking up.

I just love Halloween for the free candy, because I have a sweet tooth much bigger than my wallet. These days, in lieu of TOTing, I go to walmart at midnight and get the leftover candy as it goes on sale. :D

You know, when ever I do get pregnant, I kind of hope it's a fall pregnancy so I can paint my belly like a Pumpkin and go out like that. :D And maybe I won't get so darn cold in the winter...

Gaddy,
Do you have Judgment Houses where you live? That's where they make like a walkthrough house, and instead of it being "haunted," it has one room of Heaven and one of Hell. We have those everywhere here. I have always wanted to go to one.

I will probably dress the Roxter up. I don't know as what though. Maybe... a rat? LOL Too old to dress up??? I didn't know that was a rule? :D

Oh, never too old to dress up...but I think I'd get more dirty looks than candy if I went door to door...

Omg, I know what I can really dress her up as!! A ladybug! Oh that would be so cute.

GSGurL,
Maybe a duck? You could do a cowboy outfit! A devil! Since his ears stand up!
