I'm reasonably comfortable with Meg's food (currently Primal Raw and Innova), but am still looking into getting a small freezer so I can do more raw. It's something I had wanted to do anyway; this was just the shove I needed.

I'm also thrilled that my favorite local pet store is going to start selling Orijen! Having a second kibble option available will be nice.

I don't think anything is safe or immune from danger, including raw, human food...unless you grow or hunt it yourself. I don't trust anyone anymore. So what if all is produced in the U.S? What is that saying? I don't trust our governement and all those agencies that inspect things. This whole thing is a monumental travesty and I don't trust that it will stop with some pet foods.

I absolutely 100% agree Doberluv. This whole thing with them thinking it got into chicken feed has me really feeling even if I fed raw I'd still be wondering and worrying. It's very very scary.
I think I just need to feed the best I can, and if something horrible happens I know that at least I tried my best. =/

Wasn't that peanut butter plant in Georgia or somewhere?

Right now Zoe is on Nature's Variety. She is on Lamb and Oatmeal right now but they have grain-free formulas and I will probably put her on that. I also want to start adding some home cooked. As of right now I just have her so it should last quite a while if I make something.

By the one, does anyone have any dog food cookbook recommendations or anything?
