To any of the younger generation on Chaz, I admire your willingness and interest in voting when you become of age. Whomever you vote for!!! Keep that up!!!

:hail:
My Dad has been an Elections worker since before I could remember. He'd kill me if I didn't vote... and you can't bitch about what's going on in your country if you didn't put your say in. :)

Registered Democrat, don't like either and seem to come out closer to libertarian in those "what's your political leanings" tests.

What if you have to choose one and neither is not an option.. or do you plan not to vote for either candidate?

I'm just curious as the election is getting closer and closer, and the nation is more divided than ever.. at least when it comes to who to vote for.
I will write in before I throw my vote away on candidates either party has foisted off on us. As long as people continue to acquiese to the political rape of America by the powers that be we will continue on an ever accelerating downward spiral . . . and continue to become less and less free.

Neither

However, I will be voting democrat for the foreseeable future. For all the problems with the 2 parties, I consider it more important to keep the modern republicans OUT of office than trying to fight the system by voting third party.

Republican.

I don't vote solely on party. I would vote Democrat if they had closer views to mine, but thats never going to happen.
Yeah... I'm too young to vote, but I would vote democrat if I shared similar views with the candidate. However... I usually disagree completely with the democrats, so I don't see this ever happening. :p

And that ensures that the two parties will continue to have a stranglehold on power.

My gut feeling is that only a Republican vote will bring changes . At least I hope so !

Well, yes. That is the problem with my solution.

The problem with going third party in this election is that its nothing but a protest vote. Expected record turnouts for the 2 major parties and some crappy third party candidates. The Libertarian candidate was a republican until about... yesterday.

I am neither. Both sides stand for and are against something I believe in for how things should be run. I am not voting this year because its a loss cause. Lose lose situation. My husband and mom says "well you have to vote for the better one at least". Um who is that?! IMO no one lol.

Thats the thing. Both sides have changes and they sugar coat/ deceive what the changes will turn out to be or what is wrapped up into making these changes come through. Its all deceiving lies and show for self gain or for someone else's gain.

You know the only and real thing to pull our country together is something that would never happen. It would be "asking too much" from each individual person. Everyone wants to follow and trust someone else to clean up the dirty work, well I feel no matter who wins the votes will be nothing but another disappointment.

I can see negatives on both candidates but I'm far more frightened about having McCain in office than Obama.
