I will always have a woo-woo curly tail and something shepherdy.

Due to monetary and time constraints (my project girl eats a lot of time and money, wouldn't trade her for the world though!) two dogs is best for me right now. Actually it would be better if I only had one dog right now (and my one cat!), but I'm so glad Scout's here. :)

There's a lot of breeds that I would like to try, and I'll likely never always have a rescue mutt if I have more than one dog.

Though, the more tollers I meet, and the more I hear from Toller_08, the more I think they'd be perfect for me.

I would say yes and no. There are few other breeds out there that I could see in my house at some point. BUT there will always be a dalmatian here.

Mostly, yes. I mean- I can see myself someday owning a dog of a different breed, maybe. But really, I'm a BC person through and through.

I think I will always have a papillon around. Every now and then I think about not getting another after Mia and Summer go but I don't think I ever could. They're the best dogs I've ever owned.

One of the things that prevents me from getting any other breeds is having them detract from my APBTs. I'm not sure I could love equally, and that's not fair. If I figure my max is 3 dogs, then at least 2 are going to have to be APBTs, and the 3rd will be odd pup out. So I live my fascination with other breeds through y'all. ;)

Not me :) I've said before that I've found "my" breed in English Shepherds and I stand by that, I can see them being my main interest, but there are so many breeds out there that I want to experience!

I can't ever see myself with just one breed forever, but the more time I spend with a diverse amount of breeds, the more I realize that there are less and less dogs that I would actually want to own and live with.

That's very true. I have so many that I have considered and then realized how much their attributes don't match my lifestyle.

This for me too. I definitely don't want just one more breed forever but there are LOTS of breeds I admire from afar but don't seek to own.

It takes a lot for a breed to thrill me, and even more so a mix. But having said that, I'm far from stuck on one breed, couldn't do it ever! I especially love my current short and tall household!

No, I love having a variety :) Sighthounds and herding dogs are my favorite types of dogs and are what I will always have, but my husband loves his bostons, so i'm sure we'll always have a boston too lol

I forgot about the husband. Yes we will probably always have some kind of couch potato mush sort of dog. What breed it is will be determined by him. If I had it my way, we'd have nothing but crazy herding dogs. :p

lol true :) The only breed I would not own again that I own now is my Pyrenees, mainly because of the grooming.

Yeah...the grooming is kind of a hassle, but that dog is gorgeous!!! I wonder about that often, as I ponder getting a Poodle some day. I'm so use to smooth coated or short coated dogs. I have had to brush dogs though in the past, like the GSDs, labs. The Dobe and Chi's though, were/ are really easy. I hardly ever brush them. Just wash and wear once in a while.

LOL! He's calm when Tim's home.. I come home and he's all like "OMG MOM'S HOME!! Fantastic things will most likely ensue... I must be ready at the drop of a hat for all the awesomeness that she will include me in!!!" So when I'm home sick and just laying on the couch he can't stand the boredom.

ETA: He's a lot better on meds.. also um, he's a great dane, he's SUPPOSED to be a couch potato. I just don't think he got that memo.
