Are there any signs to tell what size of dog a puppy will be?

I would say probably 20lb-25 lb range. Wrigley was 4 lbs at 10 weeks and now at over 7 months (I think he is done growing for the most part) weighs around 12lbs. I think it was double what he was at 4 months too--which would be about right.

Tips was about 7lbs at 8 weeks, and he's 50lbs now... I would say 30ish lbs for yours. Definitely wait until he's 4 months and it should give you a better idea of the size, the whole 'double by two' thing was close with my two (I think, been too long, lol).

My vet told me on Saturday when I brought my pup Emma in for her first chekup, at the age of 9 weeks that she's already at a third of her final weight.

That weight chart isnt really very accurate, especially for large and giant breeds. It really does very frm breed to breed and even from dog to dog. Tigger was around 45lbs at 4 months and is already 95lbs at 8 months. English Mastiffs for example, can take 4 years to stop growing!

Dont mean to steal the thread, but was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how big Mack's going to be. (He's a husky) At 8 weeks, he was 17 pounds :yikes: . (Now 9 weeks) All the males in his blood line are usually 55-60 pounds but I'm thinking he'll definatly pass him. I'm thinking 75ish pounds?
Since he's far from purebred, its hard to tell...

Sounds like he's going to be around 70-80lbs. full grown. Gunner weighed 27 lbs (give or take a few) at 12/13 weeks and 54 lbs at 17 weeks...if that gives you any indication. In a matter of 1 months he gained close to 30 lbs. :yikes: He's not overweight either. He's going to weigh 100-110 lbs full grown.
