We gave our puppy a Nylabone Edible when we first got him. We were so excited because he loved it and chewed it so much.

Green pieces of the "fake bone" came out in his stool and he had diarrhea. I think they have the same problems as Greenies--some dogs just chew them too hard and break off chunks.

We now use Nylabone Durables (really hard rubber/plastic) and our puppy loves them just as much as the edible ones and he hasn't had any problems.

I'm not a fan of artificial chew toys, but some are better than others.

For example the "Nylabone Healthy Edibles" are ok, unless a dog is gluten intolerant.

My vet loves healthy edible nylabones

My dog Ginger loves cheese flavored healthy edible nylabones and chews on them all of the time. She doesn't get stomach aches, diarrhea or gas from eating them. My vet says they are better than flossies or other chew toys that are digestible.

I'm not a big fan of the vinyl-alcohol copolymer and sorbitol in them to be honest.
