We gave our puppy a Nylabone Edible when we first got him. We were so excited because he loved it and chewed it so much.
Green pieces of the "fake bone" came out in his stool and he had diarrhea. I think they have the same problems as Greenies--some dogs just chew them too hard and break off chunks.
We now use Nylabone Durables (really hard rubber/plastic) and our puppy loves them just as much as the edible ones and he hasn't had any problems.
I gave Tank a couple of those Dentabones a while back and WOW Ill never do that again, I dont know what it was but he had some BAD gas! I actually had to open the windows and go outside until it aired out in the house. Of course being guys and all, I was proud of my boy :hail:
My dog Ginger loves cheese flavored healthy edible nylabones and chews on them all of the time. She doesn't get stomach aches, diarrhea or gas from eating them. My vet says they are better than flossies or other chew toys that are digestible.
Anyone have any thoughts on the Booda Bimple's. I give Smokey about 1 per week and she keeps her teeth really clean by gnawing on them. When they get down to about 2 1/2 inches long I take it away and give her a new one.
